The fact you thought he was an arse-clown is privaleged information as implied by the use of private messenging protocols. He can't go round publicly broadcasting your private opinions! Seems a bit unfair for that. I sent two guys with a baseball bat round DPS's gaff and I got an apology, bottle of whisky and no infractions at all.
