Worth doing or worth buying a brand new, the reason I say this is it appears there is a huge difference in price between old and new but other than the price are there any others?

Get a decent used classic watch instead of a 'name'. There are lots of really classy watches out there that arent Tag Heuer or Rolex. Something like this

Some nice stuff on there, cheers for the link.

On topic, I agree with the comments that there is no attraction to a Tag.

get one with at least three hands as counting the second hand will cause you a lot of problems

hahaha ****ing hell that made me laugh.

I do have this tag, like many others not a big fan of Tag generally but i really liked the aesthetics of this one.

Next on my list would be one of these a Rolex Pro-Hunter Daytona, Pro-Hunter are like the AMG of Mercedes for Rolex.
