theyin Posted 1 April, 2013 Share Posted 1 April, 2013 I'm on the other side of the world so it's not necessarily for my benefit but I would like to see the gaffer offer up his appreciation to the crowd at the end of the match instead of a quick handshake with his managerial counterpart and heading off down the tunnel. He gives it large in interviews that it's the club, the behind the scenes people and the fans he feels gratitude towards, a quick clap around the four ends from the touchline wouldn't be hard surely. Apart from that, I have Chelsea fans contacting me from all over the place saying they'd take him in an instant if the special one wasn't about to make a return. I think NC, for all his faults has come up trumps with this chap.
Bensfcno1 Posted 1 April, 2013 Share Posted 1 April, 2013 What faults are these of Cortese? He persuaded St Markus to buy the club and very decision he made so far has been positive and taken the club forward, unless your are a Pompey fan I fail to see his faults or negative in anything he has done at the football club. You may or may not take his side on some both media battles etc but who cares if the club are winning football games an climbing the football league ladder every season. Barry the Badger Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 I think he should come round and pat each and every one of us on the back and say well done and thank you.
manji Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 I would suspect Poch and Corteses intensity about our results they wont be celebrating until the last match of the season. PS are you so insecure your life will be improved by the manager clapping you. Some of our fans my god they are so childish.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 St Marys has got four ends??!! Yep, Itchen, Kingsland, Northam and the end with the fans painted on the seats, sat down and not making any noise.
Bucks Saint Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Dont think anyone has yet sung Mauricio, Mauricio give us a wave. He is doing the decent thing and waiting to see if we want him to.
ottery st mary Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Uncle Mo personally thanks me for my support and encouragement....after each game.. Never off the bloooody phone telling me what a luvvvverly bunch of supporters we have.. I have told him of your gripe and he told me to tell you to wave more vigorously and show you mean it. Sorrrreeeee ...just realised you are in Melbourne.....in that case scream at the TV more loudly;) He will start waving when he has learnt the limp wristed English method. Barry the Badger Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 He looks pretty intense on the sideline. Not sure if 'give us a wave' is really going to be his thing.
ericofarabia Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Maybe we could get Prutton back as his Waving Translator and do it for him, waving and clapping in English to all four corners of the ground at the end of each game?

Not sure if "Mauricio, Mauricio give us an intense stare" will really catch on but for those keen enough, they could try

Patrick Bateman Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Personally, I think he should come out and burn a Skate flag every match, wave using a straight arm salute and then buy the whole ground bovril.
RonManager Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 (edited) Personally, I think he should come out and burn a Skate flag every match, wave using a straight arm salute and then buy the whole ground bovril. In 1987, at Easter Road, I spilt hot bovril (salted), down the front of Archie McPherson's famous sheepskin jacket (now in the Scottish Football Museum). He said nothing, but gave me a withering look. Later that evening, he was on Scotsport reporting on the match (Hibs v Dunfermline), and the stain marks were clearly visible to the watching nation. Happy days. Edited 2 April, 2013 by RonManager

Bucks Saint Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Poch is clearly not a happy-clappy-thanky type. He clearly wants to develop himself in the mighty EPL. No issue there but he should look to include his fan relationship abilities if he wants to be the all-round top manager to eventually rival The Special One
Manuel Posted 2 April, 2013 Share Posted 2 April, 2013 Leave the waving to the mascots. The manager ain't no puppet.

Prutton in, NOW. I'm with eric and once bitterne on this one. Get Prutton back in, and once he's done the waving bit, assault the officials. Sorted.
