When I hear about how great it was, there must have been lots of optimists who didn't use the forums back then. Either that or people with short memories. You have to ask yourself if you'd be alright supporting Eastleigh if we went bust, or look at Coventry to see what it would really be like following the embodiment of football purgatory, post-dodgy takeover. It’s then Russian roulette as to whether there is a decent buyer and MSD will have a major say with the administrator. Gao could bail out for say £20m and the new buyer has the loan in their business plan. Gao loses either a lot of money/assets or all of it basically. And all that money is sitting in Kat's Swiss bank account. Her bank balance was the only thing that was taken to the next level. She really took Gao to the cleaners. We have deficiencies in the team and squad thay can only be solved over an extended time period, in which time more deficiencies will occur. There is no sense that we can mount a challenge on the top ten, we are a bottom half team fighting relegation and just one slip up away from the drop. We should have probably got rid of the manager, but will someone else do appreciatively better given our resources, probably not, so that would be a lot of money to waste for very little benefit. I see the club is admirably trying to move forward in its current operational difficulties and looking for the new formula. But it's very difficult. We have a good pedigree as a top flight club and we are a large enough city/region to support a top flight club, but the finances of football don't work for provincial clubs like ours. The top six boys don't care who the also rans are, the other slots in the premier league will always be filled. In fact weaker smaller prem teams helps them in Europe. The other divisions are littered with clubs like ours who have been out of the top flight for a long time, that could easily be us in the future. Wages and transfer fees are probably the problem, we are competing in a market place with teams who also operate in a larger market place. What's going to happen if Goa can't sell, will he want to recoup some money by other means, are the training facilities at risk? We've seen entrenched owners at other clubs at odds with their clubs best interests, could it happen here, why not. Yes it's negative, but we are not in a good place at the moment. It's surprising how large our fanbase is worldwide. Obviously, we are not one of the big 6 put we are close to the top of the rest. In terms of size of fanbase, we are one of the clubs you'd expect to be at least mid-table in the top flight.
