The fans have shown them up by having to organise it but they must have known it was going to happen. Instead of embrace the gesture and go with it they continued to ignore it. No mention at all, not even a picture on the scoreboard during the minutes applause (organised by fans). That said, does seem a bit odd that they’ve not acknowledged it all on a match day. I know they usually use the match closest to All Saints day to pay respects, but they must have known about the fans organising something today.
