Update on ticket sales for this batch of northern games - Hull (2,300) and Derby (3,100) both sold out weeks before the games, we took the 2,700 allocation for Liverpool with 350 still available and only 160 left for Sheff Utd (2,700) which will be very close if not a sell-out by the time it comes round.

Impressive numbers, 1,200 miles on the road for most and two midweek fixtures. Time for the team to step up.

We might've sold that amount for Liverpool and Sheffield United but i'd bet good money that both will have significant gaps in the away end on the actual day as people are buying just to get access to the skates game

In my experience buying a ticket isn't good enough. The ticket needs to be used on the day to count in your 'aways'. Anybody buying and not going will find themselves very disappointed

That’s not true unfortunately.

The game just needs to have been played, there's no way of the club knowing if the ticket was used, or who the ticket was used by. I know that from experience as i missed Palace away last season because i was ill but the ticket counted on my away history

I don't think we've sold that many for Sheff United,  they didn't put blocks either end of the allocation on sale , for some strange reason that's been on sale to members for a few days they should just let it go on open general sale

All in all numbers wise still impressive sales for long expensive trips. 3100 will be good at Derby , never used to take many there except for the epic 5000 up at the play off game

Ah, hadn't realised that, not quite so good then.

Well it happened to me.

I think it was a WHU away game where we bought 3 tickets but 2 of us couldn't go through illness but only the 1person whose ticket was used(happened to be me) had the game credited to their 'aways'.  Perhaps I was just unlucky, or it was a co-incidence but has anyone got an example of where they didn't attend and still got the game credited?

I'm surprised the club don't yet ask for attendance information from the home club yet. Easy enough for them to see which ticket was scanned at most grounds.

I know Brighton do exactly this for their away games and remove the credit of those not scanned in.

Looks like the other blocks are on sale now for Sheffield Utd, plenty left but should be over 2k there.

I'm hoping to get to the Sheff Utd game. Live in Nottm so gutted the Derby one has sold out (expected) but fingers crossed that we can get general sale tickets for Sheff. Likely to be the only game I can get to and I'll be able to get tickets for this season in the Midlands.

Worth emailing the ticket office, Sheff Utd should be on general sale already don't know what's taking them so long, plenty available

Bound to be some spares floating around for Derby, keep an eye out on here

It's never really been a problem - a few years ago when I was just a member, not a season ticket holder, I got to loads of the London away games, even Brighton our closest game once (when Bournemouth were in the Champ)

Definitely something they'll have to think about.

Members can buy Blackburn today.

For all the talk early season about how unfair the priority system is tickets have been pretty easy to get so far this season.

Suspect there'll be moaning though for the next 3 being London games.

Yeah QPR is a terrible allocation,  probably will sell out today to 10+

We have only been giving the upper tier so far - not many left when i purchased earlier

I imagine that we will take the lower tier as well?

Website says we've got full allocation so maybe they don't give lower anymore?

Site says

Wednesday 08 October:

09:30 - 2025/26 Season Ticket Holders who attended 10+ away matches across the 24/25 or 25/26 season. (Subject to availability)

yesturday had fill list of slots,  I was looking to get at 5 aways. So that's 1  700 that have been to 11+ games !!

Can’t make QPR but I’m well over 10 aways and had a little look at 10am and it wasn’t far off sold out then! I’m surprised they started the criteria at 10, thought it would have been higher.

We also have well over 10 aways but failed to act quickly enough today to get tickets. My own fault for leaving it until this afternoon.

Pretty obvious though with such a relatively small allocation that they should have started at 12 or 14, possibly dropping the figure after lunch (as they planned to do on following days).

I think the whole day for the first window is right myself but they really messed the start point up.

Surely the first sale should just be a simple equation of working out the highest number of games which would account for the entire allocation, so those at the top have a guaranteed option to go if they want to?

In theory you could have had someone who went to every game last season miss out to someone on 10 today.

Can the moderators change the title of this thread, there's something about it that's hurting my eyes every time I see it. Pretty much irrelevant now too.

Can i suggest a new title of, The squinnying about tickets thread?

https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2025/november/13/ticket-news--southampton--h-/

Portsmouth have confirmed ticket prices - £35 in the away end (they've raised them for us so they have to raise them for the rest of the ground as well)

And we have the whole of the Milton, 2,700 tickets.

So there should be 1000 left once you take out the friends and family allocation for the players...

Be interesting how Saints handle the ticket sales. It’s right on the cusp on when they reset the away credits, so who knows where they’ll be starting at.

I actually think it will be a lot lower criteria than some fans think.

if they just use this seasons games than only 4 of our 14 away games so far have had more than 2700.

Derby 3300, Charlton 3000, Millwall 3000 and Bristol city 3300. All the others have been around the 2000 mark.

we didn’t sell out at Sheffield 1950 and Blackburn 2100 where we could have had more. nor Liverpool in the cup.

I reckon they’ll start at 12 games from this season and it will go down to about 6 or 5 bearing in mind it’s not the same fans going to each away game.

I wonder how much the club will sting us for going on a double decker bus.

I think it will go down to 9 or 8. I've got Charlton,  Millwall but on 5 and 6 not many tickets were left just few hundred. Last Pompey game I'm sue it didn't below 8. I did the bubble coach on last leaque game and the the 2 leaques game before. Admittedly long time ago but the amount of fans going regularly no has increased a lot. Before you could get away games on membership +3 or Season +2 but now very unlikely. It doesn't matter if games don't sellout or 200 left the important thing is there must be 2,400 with 8+ at any one time as I counted seats at 7+ for Charlton at 6+ with only 379 left.

I think it might start a bit lower than 12. Recently games have been going on sale just over 4 weeks before the match.

If they continue that then Norwich will likely be the last away before going on sale which will make the maximum anybody can be on is 14 (assuming points reset happens for January games as normal)

Obviously we know from allocations that there can't be anywhere near 2700 people on 14 games, never mind the fact there'll be plenty who've only done a handful at each away.

As someone else said there's only been 4 games with a larger allocation so I don't think the amount of people on 11-13 will be that high either.

I reckon it'll start on 9/10 and go down to about 6. Even if they go on sale later then it won't make much difference as Oxford will all be people right near the top anyway and Brum is a smaller allocation.

Got to admit getting to St Mary's at 8am on a sunday will put a few off bothering, bubble trips are painful with all the waiting around, perhaps Saints will think out of the box and offer a VIP experience, luxury English cooked breakfast on an executive coach would be nice

More chance of us actually appointing a manager, although I admit both scenarios are unlikely!
