Having said that, there seem to be some more reasonable posters there these days. At least I made a personal decision whereas he wasn’t given a choice, he was banned from TUI. A grown man with a family being banned from a football forum, now there is a laughing matter for you. 😂 2

A grown man with a family being banned from a football forum, now there is a laughing matter for you. 😂 And there he goes repeating his lies, yet more lies. Bit like how you claimed the other day you worked in tax during your career, was that before or after you were a legal hotshot prosecuting knife crime and rape 😂 As for you being laughed off TUI, i remember when you made a comeback and people laughed at you other comments included "lets hope is only a short return" so i can see why youve invented a new username. Most people thought you were a bellend on there and most people think you are on here. A pensioner with a family who takes football forums so seriously but is a joke figure on every one he goes on, now there is a laugh matter for you 😂 Edited August 19 by Turkish 1

Weston Super Saint Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Looks like September is on for a record breaking wettest month ever!

As a resident of Yorkshire, you should be aware of the shortages and the hosepipe ban in place. Yorkshire Water are in the process of applying for numerous emergency drought permits because their reservoir stocks are severely depleted, and with no significant rain forecast this isn't going to magically resolve itself anytime soon. Speaking as an engineer... what's are the localised population increases for a lot of the stretched water authorities vs the increases in storage and treatment capacity over the corresponding timeframe? - the last reservoir was built in 1992. Population then was circa 57.6M, compared to 69.6M today - thats a 21% increase. Simple reality is we need to build more reservoirs and treatment capacity, eliminate wastage/loss, and provide better connections between high and low rainfall areas - because we are not going to get more rainfall. They’re actually good for the natural environment if done well and a good social/outdoor exercise opportunities too. Alfred Wainwright was scathing about Haweswater in the 1930s bur the Lake District needs water. Seven new ones are planned https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-steps-in-to-build-first-major-reservoirs-in-30-years 1

I liaise with the NFU at lot at work and the message from them has been clear: the optimum harvest time has come much earlier for many crops this year due to the exceptionally dry spring we had, and if left any later a lot of them would have started to decay. The medium range forecast for the next couple of weeks looks very dry as well (it's all linked to the position of the Jetstream), so the drought conditions are likely to extend well into autumn/winter this year. And if we get less than the long term average rainfall between now and next April, the aquifers and reservoirs won't recharge sufficiently and we'll have restrictions well into next summer as well. https://charts.ecmwf.int/products/medium-mslp-rain?base_time=202508171200&interval=6&projection=opencharts_europe&valid_time=202508171800 Seems like a wet September so far

Same here just drove to Manchester airport took twice as long as it should due to rain if only there was someone who could post charts and graphs to show how it’s been compared to the past
