He had a Simular profile to che Charles in that he had gone  out on loan at another club and been their player of the season.  their fans really loved him.qpr fans I spoke to actually saw him as a future England cb so it’s pretty shocking he’s hardly had a sniff here and also the pathetic fee for someone that has already proven he can be a top championship player

And yet nobody else was banging down the door to offer us more.

We only see  a fraction of evidence of course but to my mind he was far more talented than Wood and more accomplished than Quarshie. I think we will regret this.

Well qpr are the ones who saw him week in week out I’d trust the opinions of the qpr fans over our fans on this . We simply have hardly given him a chance and when he was there he also played in a four at the back not a three. 
 

why no one offered more I don’t know but it makes sense that qpr was the ones mostly interested

Surprised some fans are getting worked up about this on Twitter, didn’t see him once in anyones starting XI predictions. Even with 3 CBs in the lineup FFS

5th choice behind Quarsie (who is at worst the same, if not slightly better).

Get a grip everyone, we aren’t not getting promoted because of Ronnie Edwards

Premier league teams are very good at hoovering up talent in the lower leagues, they would have got him by now if they thought he had PL potential.  They will have looked at his QPR performances as well as ours and thought no thank you. If you look slow in Championship you will get murdered in the PL.

Not a chance they are going to pay £20-30m for him. Even top end Championship teams are not interested. He will have a pretty good career but not in the PL IMHO.

Exactly mate. 

Lots to crash out about our terrible season. 

Selling a 5th choice CB for 1.5m profit is fine. 

He was crap in his 9 starts.  We won 2 of those 9 btw. 

If he can't get above Woods , Stephens and Quarshie that tells you all you need to know. 

If he does well at QPR ..Well good luck to him and it clearly wasn't meant to be with us...

I do. It's because he's not a particularly good player. I've no doubt at all that fans of the club which finished 15th last season thought he was one of their better players but that's not really where we're hoping to be. He's 23 in March, so not a kid any more, he needs to be out there playing first team football for someone and it's not going to be us.

Agree. With a leader at CB I think he might have developed into the player we hoped him to be. But put in amongst our spineless team the poor fucker was only going to go one way. Downhill like the rest.
