eurosaint Posted Sunday at 20:07 Posted Sunday at 20:07 Just watching it now. Shea did not win ‘goal of the season’ and Saints did not get a single player in the ‘team of the year’ 🙀 I guess they did the nominations at Christmas 😆 1

I just rewatched it, it's really not that great of a goal compared to either of Shea's. It annoys me they do this before the end of the season. 3
SW11_Saint Posted Sunday at 21:34 Posted Sunday at 21:34 At least an ex-Saint got a look in… Dom Ballard won L1 Player of the year, and L1 Young player of the year… 2
Sir Ralph Posted Sunday at 22:43 Posted Sunday at 22:43 How scienza hasn’t been picked?! To be fair I’d have sorba Thomas at saints
Saint_clark Posted yesterday at 00:25 Posted yesterday at 00:25 Never understood why these awards aren't decided after the season has ended. 1
eurosaint Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago It turned into the lampard show (not unexpected!) but Tonda should have got a mention at least for our recent run, the Hull and Boro managers were both in the shortlist which does make you think that the whole thing was selected weeks ago !!
EssEffCee Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I think that Tymon goal is fair enough. Reminds me of Rothwell's against Huddersfield.

A West Ham supporting mate was telling me that they still sing a song about Lampard at their matches "One man and his dog Couldn't carry Lampard One man and his dog, couldn't carry Lampard Two men and their dog Couldn't carry Lampard Two men and their dog, couldn't carry Lampard ... " Apparently it goes on for some time.

rallyboy Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago That volley was special so I might accept the goal deserved it, but to exclude all our players from the team and to include the managers of Hull and Boro with no mention of the guy with the best record behind Lampard is laughable. To dish out any awards now is also ridiculous - if Millwall make automatic promotion their manager has done a better job with resources than Lampard. 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Taylor Harwood-Bellis is a bit unfortunate, you could argue Ryan Manning certainly with the last three months. How Tonda Eckhart wasn’t considered is baffling, he had more wins and less defeats than the Boro manager at the time of announcement, and that’s only increased since. That said if we go up it just makes a mockery of the entire thing, and that’s on the EFL. 😂

I highly doubt some of those names on the shortlist would have been picked if the cut off point had not been around the new year period.

I think the Hull manager is a reasonable nomination in fairness, were among the favourites for relegation pre season.
