Question has sticking with Tonda caused us more or less damage in the long run? Do you predict we will crumble when the new or interim manager arrives?

Speaking of Twats, Middlesbrough have given another interview about us in the Athletic

They're the only one's to have benefitted from the whole affair. Beggars belief they're still playing victim. They only have themselves to blame for bottling their second bite of the cherry.

@franniesTache get some good info at times.

Mine's dried up a bit recently as one of the people i knew left the club and they reported directly into the board, still hear bits and bobs but not much of the top level stuff that's happening anymore

It’s a shame they didn’t wait for the forthcoming 30th anniversary of Boro cheating and the pain of relegation that caused!

And that is the bottom line. The constant posts from people getting wound up about it are tragic and funny in equal measure.

I don’t agree. People have genuine anxiety about it, myself included.

As you said, probability dictates that someone knows something. So someone pretending to know something can be anxiety inducing up until the point it’s obvious that they’re pretending.

That uncertainty, and the vested interest is what they’re relying on. I don’t think that makes it harmless or tragic. If someone cares about something deeply it makes it very difficult to be objective, or accurately assess the credibility of a source.

"Being at the training ground when Boro realised they were being spied upon"

Yeah... They never knew Salt was going to be there until they just happened to spot him on the day... No-sir-eee.... 😂

Or did they?

Let’s go over to Jake Taylor for his side of the story… and how much Boro officials paid him… 😉

People are worried, don't confuse that with "genuine anxiety".

Regardless, the simple point remains. If you believe a claim about information to be bullshit, treat it accordingly and move on.

I don't know whether MB has or hasn't heard anything, but he's merely said that we should hear something. Hardly ground breaking, or anything to get upset or anxious about.

Re that last part. Most people have the common sense to appreciate that a source cannot be identified, or even hinted at, for reasons that should be obvious. If a forum user feels that they have a right to drill down to "assess the credibility of a source" that's a bit daft given it's bloody obvious that they won't get that information.

I thought he had said Tonda had a ban and we had appealed it but maybe I’m confusing him with a different poster.
