How do people watch Saints/football these days without Sky Sports or Now TV? I know we have streams, is there a better option to pay monthly and use a VPN? Or fire stick?

Fire stick is still the way forward for me. Depending how tech savvy you are it’s something that you can set up yourself or there are groups that charge a bit there is an element of customer service to it incase of issues.

Fawanews with a vpn has all our games and is usually reliable.  Sometimes it has two streams for the match and if one goes down you can usually get it on the other one.  Today the first stream got the entire game without interruption.  Perhaps it would have been better if it hadn’t.  For the masochists among us, bookmark this:

Kodi with a VPN, had most Saints games last year, so will see how it goes again. Have considered IPTV which there are options for around £50-60 a year which claim to have all the football.

IPTV had all the games last season - I’ve renewed for 60 quid bargain considering all the other stuff.

Yep - get such good value from it and £70 a year is fuck all for two connections and had for years now. Although I stupidly still have full Sky Ports package which don’t really need now - the streams are all in FHD so forget.

i have a mate who refuses to pay and manages to get everything but I can’t be arsed as this is so straightforward.
Payment via Bitcoin might scare some off

I always use a vpn.  And if the stream dies and you cannot get it back again go back to the home page and re-select the game.  I find it is rarely unavailable for more than a minute or two and usually not at all.

I dont understand why anyone still pays for streamed football. I have a Nord VPN subscription and thats it. There are plenty of sites showing Saints each week. 

If one site gets closed down, plenty more open up.

Flipping that I don’t understand why anyone pays for NordVpn when it’s not needed on IPTV and the sheer vastness of content available on IPTV make sky tv, Netflix, Disney plus, Prime Video and Apple TV redundant.

True, my Nord subscription comes from when I downloaded films and music (cant remember the last time I downloaded something though to be fair). I kept the subscription as there is always some sort of deal offered to keep your custom. 

I used to watch Saints on streaming sites without any issues, but then found I was being blocked if I didnt use a VPN. So now I just have a list of saved sites that I use. 

This whole process is not legit and we all know it, that being the case, I didnt want to jump into bed with any provider that could be taken down / sued at any point. Id be pissed off if I had just paid my £50 - £70 only for the service to stop. 

At least if one of my sites are taken down, I just click on the next one.

I use Fawanews with a free VPN, had the occasional glitch for a few minutes but otherwise good for all last season and this so far. 
Would be interested to get something I can plug it into my telly and watch it in HD. Do the current fire sticks still work with the IPTV apps or is it blocked now?

That’s fair, I used Fawanews a few times last season if I couldn’t watch the tv and it was very good, I used to need a vpn when watching on virgin but since moving to toob I didn’t need to. I have noticed that site seems to be inundated with pop ups and adverts this season though which has made it awkward.

Why I choose to pay for a IPTV is down to the convenience more than anything. The service I’m subscribed to has a tv guide not too dissimilar to sky, as well as easy to navigate movie and tv show sections too with a lot of films available whilst they’re still in the cinema. I like watching boxing PPVs too and again I don’t have to go hunting for streams. Yes I know there are various websites for these things too but it’s the time spent searching for them, or searching for an alternative if they get shut down that I CBA with. With my IPTV it’s all there in one place, has a page on Telegram for any service issues, sports listings and setup instructions. I’ve probably been subscribed now for close to 10 years, yes there’s the risk of it getting closed down but it’s paid off for me so far. Yeah it’s not legit, but given how much we get shafted in this country to consume sport I won’t lose any sleep at night worrying about it.

No all the latest firesticks run Amazon’s own OS and aren’t android based anymore which prevents side loading any apps you would need for an IPTV. Odd decision for them in a lot of ways because for most people the only reason they bought firesticks was to watch dodgy streams.

Get yourself an android tv streaming box, there’s loads of decent ones one eBay starting at £20+

You've convinced me to re look at my setup! Pop ups etc are sorted by using Brave or Duck Duck Go browsers, but there still is a bit of faff finding streams if one of the more reliable sites gets taken down.

I use Fawanews fine with duck duck go and no VPN on an iPhone. Get the odd dropout but usually works just fine.

Unless you have a completely under the radar IPTV sub (the old saintsplayer for example) then IPTV is unwatchable when football is on due to isp throttling unless you use a vpn.

I use Proton but on an IPad. Theres a desktop app for it as well but I don’t use it much so can’t comment.

I use Proton free version, too, and on an I-pad.  It works well although it was iffy during the first half today, constantly cutting out; I have not experienced that before and hopefully not again.

100% agree, I was watching from the media box at Fareham Town FC where I volunteer as matchday announcer and even with a relatively slow connection it was buffer free.

Xtrememedia was fine today without a VPN
