NickG Posted 4 February, 2009 Share Posted 4 February, 2009 PLEASE NO *****ING! In the lead up to the end of last season Crouch was talking quite openly about how close we were to some new investment. It is probably the most open any shareholder/board member has been about this sort of thing. He was publically pleaded for Wilde/Lowe to delay their move as it was days away. It obviously didn't happen. Has either Crouch, or anyone close to him ever explained what happened? I assumed it was one and the same as the Fulthorpe -but don't know whether I am putting 2 and 2 and getting 5?! Please not another thread either slagging of Crouch for not coming up with it or Lowe for pushing him out etc. Just can't remember there being a final update on this, anyone know? aintforever Posted 4 February, 2009 Share Posted 4 February, 2009 They are probably waiting for the club to go tits up so they can pick it up for a song. If that's the case we wont have to wait long.
Weston Saint Posted 4 February, 2009 Share Posted 4 February, 2009 It was Fulthorpe and his empty promises. I spoke to Leon briefly when he was a guest at the Rosebowl in the Summer and he was totally frustrated with the lack of progress and had given up expecting investment. I spoke to Leon briefly when he was a guest at the Rosebowl in the Summer and he was totally frustrated with the lack of progress and had given up expecting investment. No wonder Fulthorpe attracted Leon's attention they obviously talked the same game. Did he write Crouch's programme notes do we know? I'm not surprised Leon was ttally frustrated I'm sure many of us felt the same everytime Leon mentioned investment was 3,6,9 months away. I just hope Leon never plays cards. thorpie the sinner Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I still think we must be getting to be a more attractive proposition by the day!!! Nice ground, although fair enough, mortgage to pay, still have the respect of footballing community, just. Small outlay now, massive returns if we can stay in Championship first and challenge for premiership after!!! Reach the hallowed ground, instant return on outlay!! The laymans viewpoint!!!!!
