Spades Posted 24 February, 2009 Share Posted 24 February, 2009 Charlton Vs Norwich Forest Vs Saints Plymouth Vs Barnsley Watford Vs Derby Christ... i didnt realise there was so many games going on with teams struggling playing each other. That day is going to be 1 hell of a nail biter if no team is already certain for relegation! Hopefully we will already be clear... yeh right

I knew we had Forest away, but those other games could mean that 8 interested clubs could be all over each other on that Sunday. I wouldn't mind betting that at different stages during the 90 minutes almost every team will be in the relegation spots. I think watching Sky Sports Centre that afternoon will be rather nerve wracking!!!!!!!

SNSUN Posted 24 February, 2009 Share Posted 24 February, 2009 If we're still in with a fighting chance on the last day of the season, I will eat my granny. That said, another result like Preston's against Cardiff, and I might be more optimistic...

hamster Posted 24 February, 2009 Share Posted 24 February, 2009 I was gonna try to go the whole season without doing an away game, but Forest might be just too scintilating IMO. I would guess that there won't be a safe motorway service station that evening. Some very disgruntled fans will be tetchy to say the least. DT Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 We would need to be safe by then. I would hope that Charlton would have gone by then, but think they'll win and Plymouth will win, buoyed by their new manager. I'd expect watford and Derby to organise a draw. We will lose against Forest with DMcg having an intentional mare against the club he wanted to join and Billy Davies having enough in his locker and the last laugh by keeping them up. I still think we should have nabbed him.

brightspark Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 Billy Davies having enough in his locker and the last laugh by keeping them up. I still think we should have nabbed him. I'd love it if we deliberately injured their players early on, and went on to relegate them staying up ourselves. Now that would be poetic justice!!! The look on that little f***ers face would be to die for!!!
badgerx16 Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 Forest could well be safe with nothing to play for and a fairly poor team. If they're a 'fairly poor' team, yet could well be safe, then what does it make us

Victor Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 I reckon Watford and Derby will be safe by then and Charlton will be down. Blackpool to lose at Swansea and go down, leaving one place to decided on the last day from us, Plymouth, Forest, Barnsley and Norwich (who will lose at Charlton). We still have a very good chance of staying up if we can put a run together and Blackpool and Plymouth fail to halt their slide, and, like others, am looking forward to seeing the look on Billy Davies' face as Forest go down. West End Saint Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 Who'd take needing a win last day to stay up? I think I probably would. Forest could well be safe with nothing to play for and a fairly poor team. If they're still fighting for survival, it can be more pressured being the home team. I would grab that with both hands we will have done well if our fate is in our own hands on the last day if we could go into that game knowing a win would keep us up that would be great as long as Earnshaw is injured. The feeling after winning the last game of last season to stay up was awesome just hope we still have a chance by then
um pahars Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 You know you are allowed to go to the games, right? I was actually visualising all the screen in screen shots of the games and whatshisname flicking between each game, with Kamara, Matty, Nicholas and whoever having heart attacks every 2 minutes etc etc etc. I was more than aware that you are allowed to go to games and I will probably be doing this one, but then again assuming we'll only get an allocation of circa 3,000, I would imagine the vast majority of our fans will be watching the events unfold on Sky;)

hamster Posted 25 February, 2009 Share Posted 25 February, 2009 A fairly poor team too. But a fairly poor team fighting to stay up is often better than a fairly poor team that is safe. I know which I'd rather be. Even though I don;t like to think about it, this will be a polpular fixture whether we are safe, fighting or already down. I reckon a sellout either way, as will be the Burnley home game the week before. Actually, after Saturdays match, I am all excited again, bring it on. londonsaint1604 Posted 26 February, 2009 Share Posted 26 February, 2009 Source? Still, I imagine you'll be sure to celebrate whatever day we go down. If we do. And should we escape by some miracle, while most of us our out having a good night, you'll be sulking at home, most likely on here, praying for administration to take our points tally back below the bottom 3. That's what makes me laugh about Stanley. If we stay up he'll look like a right tit, but if we go down he won't be able to gloat about it and say 'i told you so' because most of us half expect it anyway.
