St Marco Posted 27 February, 2009 Share Posted 27 February, 2009 Another busy period of games in a short space of time for us Sat 28th Feb - Cardiff (H) Tues 3rd Mar - Ipswich (A) Sat 7th Mar - Birmingham (A) Tues 10th Mar - Derby (H) So how do you see it going? I think we will win against Cardiff and Derby, lose to Birmingham and get a draw at Ipswich. Making it 7 points from the 12. I think one thing is for certain though, in the next week and a half we will find out if we have the bottle to survive or not. Lose 2/3 of those 4 and were fooked. Saintandy666 Posted 27 February, 2009 Share Posted 27 February, 2009 (edited) How can you lose two thirds of 4 games!? :L These 4 games are gonna make and brake us. Getting a good run could set us up for surviving. However, lose and it could be hard for us to psycologically and mathematically catch up. Knowing saints, we will probably do something in the middle, not quite killing us but just enough to keep our hopes slightly alive before relegation on the last day. That's what I think too and it's the worst thing about being a saints fan. We are never quite **** enough or quite good enough. Just when you think there are going to be huge protests and I prepare to accept relegation, we pull out a completely unexpected performance like last week. I reckon we'll get a dire draw on Saturday and once again I won't know ow to feel.

alpine_saint Posted 4 March, 2009 Share Posted 4 March, 2009 a draw at Brum and a win against Derby would set us up well.
saints_is_the_south Posted 4 March, 2009 Share Posted 4 March, 2009 A draw at Birmingham would be a very good result but only if followed with another 2 back to back home wins against Derby & QPR.
saintjay77 Posted 4 March, 2009 Share Posted 4 March, 2009 a draw at Brum and a win against Derby would set us up well. Before the Preston game Wotte said he thinks we need 6 wins to be safe. With 3 already and if your right in that we get another against Derby we would only need 2 more. Unfortunatly because everyone else is getting results we will need more still and I think in his report after last night he says we still need another 5 wins or so. I was expecting us to be dead and burried at this stage if everyone else picked up results. Just hope we can keep this run going.

It's quite incredible the way results have been going these last few games. I think 4 of the bottom 6 won last night, it's mad. Just shows how important our wins were as we'd be cut adrift by now without those 9 points. BUT we have to keep the run going as it looks like alot of teams in the poo are finding some form at the same time as us.

Ironic that Andrew Davies gifted Notts Forest their winner, he messed up a backpass instead of belting it clear.

The Norwich goal was due to a schoolboy error by the QPR defender as well.
