We HAVE to win on tuesday

Other midweek matches:

Norwich v Cardiff (draw at best)

Barnsley v Brum (draw at best)

Watford v Forest (Want Watford to win I presume)

Sheff Utd v Blackpool (no points for the Seasiders surely)

Swansea V Plymouth (no points for the Pilgrims)

With the exception of Watford v Forest, there's alot of tough matches there, so can't see how teams will pull away midweek.

we are still 9th in current form table - and during those last 6 games played good sides, in form.

There are 4 teams with 5 points above us -2 of those played more - Blackpool and Notts F, both of whom are towards bottom of current form as well.

Two teams below us are also struggling for form so hopefully less likely to move up.

play Blackpool, Charlton, Watford in the next 5 games.

Still very much in our own hands

I hope Wotte drums into the team his reaction to today's defeat - "We didn't pass it enough against a physically strong side".

Most if not all of these "must win" games will be against physically strong sides and we absolutely must move the ball around against them. If we don't we'll struggle.

Derby is very much a must-win game, but I believe we can do it.

I also think we're capable of getting three points against QPR too.

If we continue to play with the hunger and desire that we've shown of late, then we might just be alright.

But QPR is a very winnable game.

You must have seen us play recently, we just cant score but we dont concede that many either.

Saints have scored more goals than QPR and weve conceded 11 less than the leaders.

Agreed Um (don't say that very often) Derby are really firing and will be as difficult to beat as any of our previous 7 games that have all been against top half opposition and mostly teams in the top 6 or just outside seriosuly challenging for a play off spot. there are not many of our fellow relegation battlers who have played such a difficult run of games and it is an amazing effort on the part of Wotte and the team that we are still in touch, have a game in hand on most and reduced our goal difference to a more competitive level than it was.

A defeat against Derby will be nothing to be concerned about provided that same level of application is shown by the team and the crowd don't get on their backsif the result goes against.

We still have the following:

QPR - can't score, going nowhere in the league, just the type of mid table team you want be playing at this stage.

Blackpool - very poor and thanks to a very flukey goal from Brett were fortunate until then to break down a woeful Norwich.

Charlton - they say football is about confidence. They are 12 points from safety and technically could be relegated bar goal difference by this game. (They did have over 20k at their game today though );)

Watford - managed to scrape by a hapless Charlton. Cork needs to rue his mistake for following his boyhood manager and we know Raisak will hardly be a handful.

Palace - more 'refereeing mistakes' masquearading as an excuse for your team being outplayed for the king of the moaners. 2 wins from 10 I think it is at the moment very beatable.

Sheff Wed - See QPR comments and if Barnsley can beat them away I'm sure we can.

Then we have Wolves - 2 shaky 1-0 wins suggests they will carry on wobbling yet, Burnley may have nothing to play for by the time we play them and their recent form is poor compared to early season and Forest last game of the season. I reckon we will be safe by then but it would be sweet to send Billy Davies into Division 1 as we all punch the air, 'Billy style', with delight.

So Derby look the hardest game on current form of our last 10 and I reckon we are booked for about 55 points win, lose or draw on Tuesday night.

At the end of the day it comes down to what we do, and what we have to do now is win our next 2 games. If we do this, I think we could go into the Blackpool game with a chance of getting out of the relegation zone.

Lets hope one loss doesn't kickstart a terrible end to the season, and hopefully the team will pick the performance up a notch for the home support and continue to make amends and save our season!!!

If we fail to win any of our next 2 games (2 points or less), then we are relegated.

Agree with most of those Um only doubt I've got is Norwich Cardiff as Cardiff have a dodgy away record, hope they get it right mid-week.

Therefore that's why its a must win game on Tues this is the sort of fixture list we MUST just MUST take advantage of if its going to be in our hands at all. With away games at 3 of our relegation rivals Blackpool/Watford & Forest we have to be in a position to take advantage of these games when they come around.

No it isn't and I know the policeman in charge.

Just checked this as well with a friend....absolutely not true......but they do have a large presence for the match, presumably for the QPR lot who always sell out...or something darker perhaps????

Personally i see this game and the QPR game as major important. We have 10 games left and after these 2 games we will have 8 games left of which only 3 are at home. After these 2 games we then go into playing Blackpool, Charlton then Watford. Those 3 games will decide our fate. So it is about where we are going into those 3 games. If we lose to Derby and Barnsley beat Birmingham will mean they go to 42 points with 2 games in hand, and their next 3 games are at home. To assume they will lose all three home games of which one is against Blackpool is unlikely to happen.

Then there is Forest. They play Watford on tues, Watford are already 6 points clear of us and we need 5 points to clear Forest. If we lose to Derby and Forest beat Watford they will go 7 points clear of us meaning we would need 8 points to overtake them.

Which then sets up the QPR game.

On that weekend we have Barnsley vs Blackpool, Norwich vs Plymouth.

Meaning if we fail to win the next 2 games we will go into playing Barnsley and Watford away and Charlton at home having to win all three games. After that period we will be down to just 5 games left. If we don't get at bare minimum 3 wins out of the next 5 we will probably have to win all of the remaining 5 games to stay up.

So yes Derby game is massive. All it takes is us to lose and Barnsley,Blackpool or Forest to win and things become a lot harder.

I don't think we've got a cat in hell's chance of predicting the other results this week, or saying who's got an easy or hard game. (the last few weeks have made a mockery of a lot of form / predictions)

We must beat Derby, and probably QPR as well.

After watching the QPR match against Ipswich on Sky, i'm relatively confident that 3 points will be heading our way. Your defence looked shocking in that game, so i'm amazed you've only conceded 35 goals. Fair play to you though, I wish we had your goal difference, ours is shocking! Maybe our GD will significantly improve by Saturday evening? Here's hoping! Although, you must of seen the damage we inflected on Ipswich last Tuesday. We battered them! :)

If you think they were bad then, look at the Norwich goal on the virgin site, pure comedy.
