Good ole 'Arry, make sure the PR machine makes you out as the good guy all the time :-)

But in this case it is appreciated, he didn't need to say it.

More to the point is the throw-away from Lawrie at the end. "We deserve to be at the other end of the championship..." or words to that effect.

Lawrie - we are IN this mess because from relegation day one we failed to understand that we were a CCC team and had to FIGHT our way out. This whole "we are better" stuff is just arrogance. Peterborough United are a better TEAM than us.

Until we accept our reality and plan to change it. we'll just be a bunch of moaning dreamers, otherwise we'll have moans that we should be signing "PL quality players" that we "deserve" in order to get out of League 1..... We know how that worked in the CCC!

Are Peterborough a better team than us, or do they just have a better manager than Wotte? Discuss.

Just lifted from the Soccer AM phone interview. Jamie was a sofa guest and he had nothing but good things to say about Saints and the fans and they phoned saggy chops and asked about our present predicament. There were Saints fans in the Luther Blissett stand though, so he might have said something different if there hadn't have been.

Empirical evidence suggest they will play higher level football than our team next season...

As for how we got there, please turn to page 1 of S4E, then page 1 of TSF and then page 1 of TSW...

Yes, they will be in a higher division than us next season, but as it stands at this very moment, whether they are better than us, or merely have a better manager than us, able to motivate his players beyond their abilities is debateable, as we are currently in a higher position than them. Not for long though, granted.

Totally agree and if we don't change our mindset we'll struggle in L1 as well!

"Am Arry Boy everyone loves me , real diamond geezer me, loved my time relegating you lot before returning to my spirital home" We will probably end up having Jamie as our next boss!!!

I'd take that, Spurs cast off's on loan to help his son become a success

Nobody who has seen them play much this season would debate it - they are better than us.

Darren Ferguson has made himself by picking up bargain players from the lower leagues. It's incredible what an eye for talent he has, I mena you'd think it would take a vast and sophisticated scouting network to find such a high proportion of affordable gems. And yet Ferguson has managed to find these players with only the resources of Peterborough at his disposal...

... yeah right. If he hasn't had his dad passing on tips from the Man Ure scouts I'll eat my hat.

I don't know why you lot get so upset about harry,he took the job when we were two thirds relegated and was expected to keep us up with £90k.....ok I can understand some of you being upset by the Pompey link but to crucify a bloke for taking on a virtually impossible job is madness.

Whatever you all think of harry you have to admit that behind all the self promotion and bull**** he don't do a bad job whichever club he takes on as long as he is allowed to do his job, something that he wasn't allowed to do here.

My view on Redknapp has softened over the last couple of years. He left the skates originally when Milan Moronic brought in Avram Grant over his head and against his wishes.

Redknapp was content here until Lowe did exactly the same by bringing in Clive Woodward.

Sorry but I don't agree with that at all Gonzo. He was never content here, he was never comfortable, he was never interested.

I was excited when we got him as I thought he would turn things around, but from the second he arrived it was apparent he wasn't interested. He is clearly a good manager but was never going to do well here when he couldn't be bothered. He's a complete ****. My view on him will not soften, he took us down and then ****ed up our best chance of getting back.

You're wrong. Think small be small, think big and aim high.

I believe that Harry was a starting point for the mess we are now in, he didnt give a sh1t bout the club when he was here, at this stage keep your opinions to yourself Harry,

I think the damage was done well before Arry mate.

Fair play I say to him. Thanks Harry Redknapp, those comments can only do some good for Saints and certainly no harm.

I tend to agree with you mate, everything about him said he didn't want to be here. His body language spoke volumes and he had no passion at all. At the time I thought you barsteward, you've only taken this job to give the blue few down the road the bird.

What gets me about Harry is when discussing his managerial record he defends his record with us by stating he didn't have enough time to save us. Now if I remember he did have over 20 games to save us and we were not bottom when he joined.

Would of thought 20 should of been enough and where did we finish, bottom if I recall.

My attitude towards him has improved but I doubt if he had been saying those nice things about us if he was still down the road.
