  1. You're welcome you hysterical little thing, you.
  2. Hahahaha
  3. Ryan Fraser has two assists to his name this season. More than anyone else in the squad. We've also got a massive squad. I'm not sure not being in the squad is necessarily a reflection on how bad someone has been in training, it could just be someone has to be left out and Frasers productivity has pushed him ahead.
  4. What makes you think they haven't taken it seriously out of interest?
  5. Out of interest @Matthew Le God were/are you the data guy for the womens team as well?
  6. He’s not hipster though is he? Nothing he’s done in his previous teams have suggested he’s in anyway a hipster? His teams have always been pretty driven, disciplined and pragmatic. None of his teams were blowing anyone away or doing anything tactically out of the ordinary to be considered hipster. He’s even named those old experienced heads your thinking of as teams he’s enjoyed watching when growing up. So what you actually mean is you dislike that he’s young and not managed in the league before. Which is fine but don’t try and paint him as someone who is doing something he’s not and never has done. He’s doing what he’s always done which is make us hard to beat and asking his attacking players to deliver moments to win games. And they aren’t doing that. But if you think any ‘old experienced head’ would be planning anything different other then you’re deluded.
  7. Lost 3-0 and had 1 shot. Think their chances of scoring might have been much worse than they were yesterday tbh.
  8. Continue to think the premise of this thread is daft but hello to anyone who insisted over the summer "we need a season or two to regroup as we aren't ready for the Premier League again" or "The Championship season under Martin was really boring".
  9. Why not? It gives us a solid foundation to build on and allows us to be competitive. I'm not a fan of formation chat in general because I think formations are obsolete but we've found a way to be solid which we'll need to be and I don't think we need to come away from that to start scoring goals. I don't think playing more wasteful attackers would make us any less wasteful. I think we need to stop being wasteful. As I've said on here for quite a while now, there isn't some magic formation, team selection or player that suddenly gets us ticking that four managers in the last year have ignored.
  10. I don't necessarily disagree with some of the points made by you both but the idea the formation changes and we'll suddenly become really efficient in front of goal and we'll just start winning games has zero basis. We've changed both the manager and "system" quite a lot this year and the evidence suggests quite the opposite.
  11. Last time we didn't play "this shit 5 at the back" we lost 3-1 to Hull.
  12. Suspect the chatter around him on here will be perfectly normal and level headed by certain posters too then.
  13. Maybe they think 9 games and 2 defeats isn’t very long or ’failing miserably’?
  14. I’m always happy to talk if you need it too? At least until we start winning some games so you can stop talking about the last manager that did here?
  15. In what way is it a crazy decision? To call a game finished at 79 minutes or whatever it is would be a crazy decision, as would any alternative involving just playing those final 11 minutes plus injury time. It's the most obvious, simple and normal decision going
  16. Pretty sure the press conference is tomorrow.
  17. I think quite a lot of fans of clubs Allardyce managed, especially towards the end would tell you his teams looked like a pub team and not coached when they lost. I don’t think Allardyce is the pin up you think he is.
  18. I was consistently told on here by you and others that our previous manager who got us out of this league did a terrible job and got incredibly lucky so my expectations are that team’s achievements will be surpassed. I did warn people that might not be so easy. On a less smug note, I think we’ll be in the hunt for promotion at the end of season and we should rightly be so. The season is long and a couple of good runs will get us right up there.
  19. So the players are indicators and not the managers English football experience? Exactly what my ‘terrible’ point was.
  20. We’re 6 league games in. Absolutely nothing is abundantly clear at this stage. There’s a club below us on zero points with two managers who have plenty of English Football experience. Stop talking like that’s an indicator of any kind of success. It’s not.
  21. He’s made a mistake of telling everyone how important winning is to him because this is what ‘winning at all costs’ football looks like when you’re not winning. The sport is incredibly low scoring and scoring has many factors of randomness in it as well as coaching and talent so you can’t rely on just winning. You have to give fans/players/whoever else something for them to see when you’re not winning but by telling everyone even before he got the job that he’s not a philosophy manager and playing to the crowd initially with talk that resonated with them, he’s not got anything to fall back on now he’s not winning enough so shit hits the fan. We’ll be fine I think, wins will come, when he’s sorted out the defence by manning up and dropping a couple of players, but he’s made this road rocky for himself.
  22. Wanting a fourth manager this year is insane.
  23. This is exactly what people wanted though? Adaptability. No silly philosophy.
  24. Maybe we were 3-0 down and not looking like scoring so he decided to change things? 🙄
