Armstrong had evidently received a knock a short time before being taken off, he was struggling but refused treatment to stay on. Leo has been taken off a few times around that hour mark, I think that’s clearly a belief in the club he wouldn’t make it through so many minutes in a week with that intensity.

Whatever happened then, and neither me or you know, he was back in the team very quickly with the same manager declaring the issue over. The abuse / writing off he’s received has been unjust.

The very definition of a player who needs a run of games to get rhythm but there’s no way he deserves that here. Uncomfortable with the talk about his attitude though, it’s lazy. He’s clearly just lost all rhythm and his qualities do not lend themselves to being a sub at all 🤣

Yeah I had massive doubts that he would find the motivation again this season. Fair fucks to him though, he’s an excellent driving force at the club.

There isn't a manager good enough for us. We've just won 4 in a row then lost 1 and people are disappointed the manager is not being replaced. You'd do well to find a manager able to keep up to that demand.

Winning games at this club, with this team, in this season, against these opponents is not the way to convince these fans that you can win games at this club, in this season, against these opponents. The only way to convince people you can actually do that is to have done it elsewhere, with someone elses club, a different group of players, against ideally the same opponents and in other seasons and then dress it up as "experience".

Would love to know the metrics that have led you to that conclusion.

Winning 4 out of 5 games is not a healthy place to be. The latest not so good game is the only one we should judge him by. Only getting the job by default and not the actual good work you’ve done to improve from the ‘Still-Esque’ performance. It could just be that they played better than us on the day? Rather than the mental gymnastics you have to do to convince yourself the players who played badly in 20 minutes would have done better if you had given them 70 all because of some elusive thing ‘experience’ gives you.

Good coaching and man management helps more. We also really need to stop believing the manager is the deciding factor in our season. Its importance is massively overplayed at this club and on this message board. Hence why we go through so many.

Hostile atmosphere ffs 🤣 We went 1-0 up in the second half btw. We weren’t playing well but our young and inexperienced guys had managed us through the majority of the game just fine. It wasn’t inexperience that shit the bed in a tackle despite everyone saying what a hard man he is in the final moment of the game. Nor inexperience failing to challenge at the back post from the following cross or an inexperienced goalkeeper that couldn’t block a fairly tame header.

Robinson was perfectly fine yesterday. Don’t fall into the weird Jo Tessem trap. Blaming him for things that simply weren’t his fault yesterday, it was really odd. Also, talk of experience again, just a reminder that we got worse yesterday when our two least experienced players went off and we bought tons of experience on.

That having a manager with ‘experience’ doesn’t determine how well you do.
