  1. does he eat **** for breakfast?
  2. But - aren't we doing the same thing every year? meltdown, sell our best players, lose a manager, throw toys out of pram, bully our players, call our GK league 1, Mane is the new ali dia etc..etc., sell to our rivals (liverpool+spurs+manu), and every year we get a better league position, I think our progression has been pretty good for the last 7 years. So the sane thing to do is to keep doing the same thing again - this meltdown is an important part of our 5th place finish next year...
  3. you could say the same about a lot of *star* managers last term. Mourinho, for example, got sacked for doing so badly with a team of expensive and talented players, and they finished below us. Klopp didn't get an amazing points total with Liverpool, despite all the media love - finished below us. Wenger only finished 8 pts ahead of us. Who exactly would you get enthusiastic about? Some obscure foreign coach with a good PR team and some relative success outside of the premier league?
  4. no diggity. Even more so as we reach this late stage, it is clear that the Leave campaign has no arguments that are not emotional ones. Anyone with a hint of common sense who looks at the facts and figures will vote remain. I don't really fathom how it can even be close, are we as a nation really that stupid? Just look at the high profile leave campaigners, and ask yourself, do you fit in with that crowd? the Goves and Farages? The group of w*Ekrs on the leave campaign should be enough of a signal that perhaps it isn't the best group of individuals to be associated with. I'm keeping faith that when it comes down to it, the people of Britain will show a collective common sense and turn out in their numbers to vote the right way and it will be a landslide. The silent majority needs to raise it's voice...

  11. you seem a very cheerful chap, LOLs freely given. here you go; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3520912/Dusan-Tadic-pondering-away-Southampton-Ronald-Koeman-s-abrasive-management-style.html The problem you might have at Everton is that the bigger the club, the more prima donnas. See Moyes@Manutd as an example of what happens when the dressing room is lost because the players are all nobends. Koeman did well as a big fish in a small pond, but may struggle in the vast ocean that is Everton's great biggedness.
  12. agreed, bournemouth, palace, west brom, hull, boro, stoke all in the last 10 games, should be able to get a good finish to the season again.
  13. Lukaku's goals this year (all of them - none of them that special): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD000ZY0IvI Pelle (quality): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMm-RPHmkd0
  14. Pelle, all day long. The guy has got style. Lukaku, or benteke are just bruisers, they'll run past a player and score standard goals, with power. Benteke scored a cracking overhead once, but is mostly all about strength and power. Pelle has scored some beautiful goals, some great assists, and those flicks come off one in 5, but when they do it's pure jizz. Pelle is the easy choice for any football aficionado. You need special players like him to make your team unique.
  15. no, but a vile racist country WOULD vote leave, so if we leave, it adds credence to the fact we are vile and racist. if remain wins, that is some evidence that we are not vile or racist. Not many racists will vote remain, nearly all racists will vote leave, so the level of racism in Britain could actually have an impact on the result, skewing it towards leave. ditto, it will also be an indicator of how stupid we all are. if leave wins, then that knocks a few intellectual points off the country as whole (statisically speaking, since a vote to remain roughly correlates with increased intelligence)
  16. and me. they've been superb. as opposed to BT who installed their equipment in someone's garage, and anytime it went down they had to come out and hope the guy was in so he could let them in to fix it! We didn't stay with BT very long...
  17. can any leavers comment on the suggestions that Boris would end up as PM if we vote leave? is that really the case? of all the scaremongering on all sides, this is the scariest I have heard.
  18. pretty definitive, and matches what we all know, there are the 'big clubs', then a gap to the rest of us who probably move up and down depending on the last 3-4 years of performance. It would be interesting to see if they included lower league clubs on the list, as I'm sure Pompey would be up there somewhere...
  19. I think this is known as the 'Fonte effect'...
  20. we invented football in Brazil. indirectly, we are responsible for the winning of 5 world cups, and some of most scintillating football the world has seen. i think this makes our history better than anyones. west ham only won one world cup, and the so called big history clubs like everton and liverpool haven't won any.
  21. agree - what's 5m compensation compared to the risk involved in replacing all of the players he takes with him - better off putting him on gardening leave, let Everton get someone else in, then Ronald can go to Arsenal next year, if he is still wanted, and I don't think Arsenal will need so many of our players compared to Everton, who would probably like all of our players if they could get them - there are not many (any?) of our first team that wouldn't improve the Everton first team.
  22. you'll change your tune when he comes here...
