  1. because we are run like a b&b, Reed is the antichrist, and football is all about money these days?
  2. 1000% agree. I fully expect FF to get injured, VVD to go to Everton, Cedric to Barcelona, Cuco to Everton (why else would we be looking at RBs?). Fonte is too old, Yoshida is awful, targett is woeful and already shown he is not up to it. We lost wanyama - the liverpool game last season showed how important he was, and replaced him with some dane no-one had ever heard of. Ward-prowse is utter ****e, davis is a water-carrier, Tadic is unsettled and will probably get into a fight with Puel and we'll see his resale value plummet in the reserves. I think it will be too late to fix in January, we need to do something now or we can expect to be bottom of the table come the end of the season. and we have to do it wearing bras at St Marys. Puel won't make it to November. probably be replaced by some other foreign nobody that nobody has heard of but will pretend to be excited by, or Alan Shearer. Austin and Jay-rod will get injured for most of the season. Long will be off in January. We'll probably end up with Gallacher and Monkou up front. I'm not going to bother going this season.:x:x:x:
  3. It's not hard to read between the lines of May - e.g. "people want control of free movement from the EU", which I take to mean that we will seek for some kind of control over free movement, but that there will still be free movement, and I would anticipate that this would be in return for access to the free market, which in turn will subject us to EU laws, which in turn will result in exactly what most sane people expected - we leave the EU, we will be poorer, and still subject to bendy bananas, but with no veto or control over which laws are brought in. In the meantime, the damage already done will just result in us being less competitive in certain segments, such as technology and pharma, where a great deal of damage is already done even pre-article 50.
  4. interesting article in new scientist, and a positive outcome of Brexit; https://www.newscientist.com/article/2095482-green-lining-five-ways-brexit-could-be-good-for-the-environment/ Basically, if we end up 'doing a norway', we will still be restricted by EU laws, but unable to veto them as we have in the past. this means we will be subject to all of the environment laws that previously we had blocked, for example stopping fracking etc. In addition, a global economic downturn, whilst disastrous for the humans, could turn out to be quite good for reducing our emissions, and ultimately, better for the planet! So there are positives to Brexit. If we are all poorer, perhaps it will encourage a more austere approach to life and we will all become less materialistic. (Bad for Saints though, won't sell many kits, unless there is a bra shortage) If we take it to the extreme, and I'm sure we all recognise the haunting similarities to Hitler's rise in the leave campaign (farage breaking point etc.) - if this does result in more war, reduced resistance to terrorism etc. - then it will also help our population control! I'm coming round to the idea of brexit now! (apart from the devastating impact on Science in the UK, which is already hitting hard and a bit upsetting)
  5. I agree, divorce is the most logical route forward here.
  6. no straps. Ours has straps for the bra too, which make it even more bra-like. I'm going to wear some lacy white underwear over my jeans to go with it, instead of my previous idea for shorts - just to make it as obvious as possible. maybe we should have a bra and knickers day on opening match? (over our normal clothes, no bellies please)
  7. I'm going to get the shirt and shorts, and then wear the shorts over my jeans, or I might even get some white shorts to wear over my jeans, for a matching set (don't want people to think I've stopped caring) Think i'll look really cool.
  8. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56677-Pelle-or-Lukaku&p=2354413#post2354413 I knew Pelle was good, and Lukaku was a bust, before the euros fully played out - do i get ITK for that?
  9. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/20160713-dusan-tadic-claude-puel-approach-america-3182478.aspx clearly, it was an immense bust up. don't think we'll see tadic play in red and white again:(
  10. to be fair, we will never know. if the EU goes tits up, it will probably be because we left (if we leave). We'll never know if the UK being in the EU would have saved it, or prevented the european war and the 2028 plagues etc.. If the EU goes tits up, it is also not particularly good for 'new britain' either - a prosperous collaborative world is better than a f&*ed one. It's all very well leaving the EU and then laughing when Greece implodes, but maybe in 20 years it will be western european refugees begging for asylum in a utopian britain, with the poor beggars of europe pleading at our door, whilst we tell them all to f&*k off and play cards in our conservatories and sip pimms on the lawn.

no i would expect an absence of evidence, a conspiracy theorists dream. however, i would not expect them to write memos to each other in the way they did, discussing saddam and their moral obligations etc., with no reason, unless you are suggesting they created it as a smokescreen. at which point you would be stretching credibility to satisfy a hypothesis that belongs in the daily mail.

if you read the private emails between blair and bush, you will see it was not about oil at all.
  13. I also, do not know.

    Claude Puel

I don't know, I was just ripping off the tinternet. http://www.discoversouthampton.co.uk/future/city-centre-masterplan/heart-of-the-city "Watermark WestQuay Construction has begun on Southampton's £70 million new leisure and dining hub with a landmark 10 screen cinema over 20 restaurants and a new high quality public plaza for the city supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund. There are plans for shops, cafés, restaurants, a luxury cinema, a hotel and housing to flank a public plaza overlooking the dramatic medieval town walls. Sounds almost continental, doesn’t it? Well, we’re inspired by the buzz of alfresco dining and the patter of happy shoppers. And, given that developer Hammerson recently revealed its exciting plans for the scheme, it’s certainly time for us to wake up and smell the coffee!"

more parkland per square mile than any other city in England. some of England's best preserved medieval town walls, over 90 listed buildings in the old town, and the marina offers a modern skyline. The new Watermark development will give us a landmark cinema, over 20 new restaurants to go with the 650-odd restaurants we already have. West Quay already attracts 17m consumers per year, and this will only increase with Watermark. and we have Ikea. It's actually a pretty great place to live, and has the New Forest on it's doorstep...

Kader Keita was not signed by Puel. Mathieu Bodmer was was signed by Puel for Nice, for 1.8m euros, the 6.5m transfer to Lyon was before he joined them. Jean II makoun scored the goal that ultimately decided Lyon's Champions league win against Real Madrid. Ederson was a good player. He turned down Real madrid and Man Utd to sign for Claude Puel @ Lyon... Aly Cissokho - ok, but he was a french international, so can't have been that bad, on paper he was a good signing.
  19. Except they told the uk they did want to be part of a union, with their own referendum. They don't want to be isolated against their will and thrown out of a union, so the cartoon is pretty accurate.
  20. It has recovered. I heard he was being lined up for a job with a top 6 premier league club (i mean us)
  21. also, coutinho created 50 chances last season, Davis created 53. (and Tadic created 73, 7th in the league) - according to OPTA.
  22. no - they think he is a winger. He'll be out wide - I actually think he won't fit well at a big club - he is prone to inconsistency and awfulness, final ball etc., that he can get away with at little ol' Saints, but will be scrutinised at a club like Liverpool. On his day, great, but the stats tell a story too...
  23. does he eat **** for breakfast?
  24. that is a terrible list. Howard Wilkinson is still the most recent English manager to win the league (with Leeds), and they finished 4th as well with rod Wallace top goalscorer(?), how can he possible be one of the 5 worst if he actually won it?!?!?!?
