We stayed in the Travelodge there a couple of years ago and it was about that long to get to High Street from the pool, decided to stay next to Westfield "for convenience" this time and booked it before they even played a league game and all the diversion nonsense started. Mind you, having been called a c'nt and asked if I was lost by some utter nobend a good two hours after the match having been for a meal when walking back to the station I can see why they don't want the neanderthals anywhere near the place.

Incidentally, their striker Ben Sahar is a Skate. So quite looking forward to "YSB"ing him and confusing numerous Israelis.
-
And they comfortably beat Internazionale away.

I don't remember us even going to ground, tbh.

Some of the bits were good: I was in Row 2, too low down but at least I could see the game... On the massive screen at the other end when the ball was in the other half. Took some photos of the seats underneath our seats, weird. The upper tier was miles away, glad we were in the lower. The view from the expensive seats at the side must be awful with that massive arc and huge green area. At least they went to the trouble of putting the seats in the bottom tier closer, so it wasn't just a really bad version of Withdean. Atmosphere was awful. Concourse was small, food options non-existent if you didn't want a massive hotdog at the gate I went in. Stupid queues at half time. The accessibility was absolutely b0ll0cks from Stratford station, and the absolutely pathetic insistence on routing people all the way around the shopping centre (where we'd spent a day and a half getting drunk already by then) was the least disabled friendly crowd control I've seen for some time, not to mention the bloody ridiculous trek for anyone else as well. We were staying in an hotel within half a mile of the stadium and it took the best part of half an hour to walk it with all the closures and diversions, even allowing for the fact we walked straight through the cordon telling us to go the even longer way back. Still, 3 points.

Really hope it's an enjoyable trip (I think I'd take a point to keep us top of the group), especially because I'm missing this http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57194-For-Sale-Football-Ramble-LIVE-in-Winchester-this-Friday-30-September-8pm#.V-lhGMvTXqA due to a scheduling conflict.

I would imagine it's due to the importance of tactics and formation.

I was the bloke in the replica shirt.

They definitely seemed to be piping in WWE style "crowd rumbling" at one point, but I'm not the best person to ask due to my lack of stereo.

Two tickets, for a BOX no less, selling for £17 each, face value, due to the slight inconvenience of being on the way back from Israel at the time. Must go by tomorrow (Tuesday 27th) due to the other minor inconvenience of going to Israel on Wednesday. Collect from Hedge End or Winchester if you're quick. Great seats, face value, highly suitable for any fans of the podcast and people who aren't going to Israel generally. PM me or if you're not registered, reply on here.

What is this rift between Redmond and Tadic the announcers mentioned?
The9 replied to striker's topic in The Saints
On the flipside he was the first one to go to Long after Hesketh's goal against Palace and the pair of them were grinning away just seconds after Long was kicking the post. He's clearly overall a nice bloke who doesn't like things not being perfect and confident enough to criticise. Pretty much every player I've ever played with will have a pop in context and sort it out a minute or two later when they've reflected. I get the impression Roy Keane is one of the few who didn't. -
So much lol. But didnt Man U sign him a few years back? I think he may have ended up playing for Newport or something.
-
I actually didn't see it, read the first half of the quote and responded to that, whilst eating a sandwich between meetings. I was in Row B, we nearly got a touch after Davis' shot.
-
He was very good. "All action" is a criticism?
-
We don't do that, we just pass teams to death instead. I was screaming for us to corner-flag it for about 10 minutes but whenever we lost it, the midfield just got it back again. Bertrand was excellent too, always forced Antonio back onto his left foot and far less came from those crosses as a result (though a couple of times we left Payet unmarked at the far side of the field and that was when they had their best chances).
-
Romeu (and the entire midfield) were absolutely superb yesterday - the number of times they just took the ball from breaking West Ham players before a threat could materialise. Absolutely superb. Plenty of higher profile hooks for people to get distracted by, but that was one of the best midfield performances I've seen, from all of them.

More than Celtic took.

Block 20 was pretty much all the Saints email mentioned.

There's little chance Clasie is playing without rotation... Though I suppose we might prioritise Be'er Sheva in which case I guess he could start.
-
Oh and the wife has been spamming me with this, which I find hilarious: Woah! We're going to Be'er Sheva Woah! It's not an island Woah! We're gonna have a party Woah! Near the Mediterranean Sea

I disengaged with the media cobblers years ago, never watch any of it, ffwd through all the stuff between the goals on MotD, don't watch SSN during Transfer Windows and barely care about the Champions League other than who is dropping into the Europa. I'll watch anything mentioning Saints though. I'm happy with that.

I cannot express my disgust with this enough. Will be a shame for him to be relegated from the Championship this season.

As for the OP, the conservation of energy for appropriate bursting is a technique many managers have used, I'm still relatively sure nothing other than an early goal allows it to prosper though. If we're level or behind at home, and killing time with possession, it seems counterintuitive at best.
