  1. Smart move, as the Milan and Be'er Sheva home games have been on the system since just after the "bundle" was released, which puts them comfortably within the parameters of matches which you can still buy AND which qualify as a purchase before the cut-off period (unlike Sunderland League Cup, Burnley etc). So, there's the workaround, "no purchase history" people, buy a Be'er Sheva or Inter home ticket and you're eligible for Inter away.* *no guarantees, just going from what lloydie said, all financial loss to be laid at his door, all rights reserved, coffee may be hot, etc.
  2. This did the rounds over a month ago and was based on the 2 or 3 matches which had been played at the time. As a result there were plenty of quick players who hadn't had the opportunity to sprint over any kind of distance to get up to full speed, and the list is basically a compilation of "the fastest people who've had to go flat out to chase a long ball in the Premier League in the first 2 weeks of the season", as opposed to an actual list of the quickest players.
  3. I have absolutely no idea what that has to do with brexit.
  4. The elephant in the room here is hooliganism. I can't see why any yobs unconnected to Saints would want to tag along with 300 Saints going to Israel where they'd stand out like a sore thumb and wouldn't expect much trouble to begin with, but I can completely see why they might want to get involved with a trip to the San Siro and Inter's Ultras where they can blend in with 7000 others. It's probably just the club covering themselves in the event of trouble so no-one can say they weren't bothered about who they sold tickets to.
  5. Erm, the bloke in the Forest shirt was with Northern Saints. I didn't understand it either, but he wasn't Israeli.
  6. Redmond's been doing really well.
  7. You'll have a lot more trouble with it that we did getting reprints of our Leicester tickets - they didn't send them before we left for Israel (and we were going direct to Leicester) but we rang on the way to the airport and arranged reprints to be collected at the King Power Stadium. Not sure that'll be an option for you.
  8. We're all waiting to see. I'd be very surprised if they don't debit it when the tickets arrive, it's not like anyone didn't know they're getting charged £6.50 for delivery as it was on the original information, and they'll have your details, so makes sense for them to do that. Various arguments about people not expecting it, how they're able to debit the amount without permission, etc. will probably occur around that time. Those people should try buying tickets for the Euro 2016 tournament, I had to give my card details over 6 months in advance for a debit that might have taken place at any point within a 2 month period prior to the event, for a non-specified amount that could have gone up or down to the tune of around £800 depending on which tickets I was successful with, and there was no way of knowing until the money had been deducted how much was being deducted. They did refund me £15 at one point, no idea why though, I hadn't even noticed if they'd charged me multiple £15 postage.
  9. Their 2017/18 shirt vote is online, feel free... https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/9PHPM3H Home is their normal colours (literally no difference in any of the shorts and socks), away is white/blue/blue though there's the possibility of giving them white home AND away shorts for some lolz, third kit has uuuuuuuugly possibilities.

    Puel

The players slightly changed their movement patterns to accommodate Austin's strengths, and Bertrand came back from injury which improves our pace and accuracy of delivery. Other than that they're doing exactly the same stuff - as you can usually see when we have Redmond and Long up top just like in the early couple of games.
  11. See previous post. It (already) wasn't when I saw it.
  12. Ah, I hadn't seen that it got stickied. Maybe start the Burnley one then?
  13. Eastleigh is free entry, so that one's an absolute no-brainer.
  14. That was me after Bucharest in 2003 - arrived on match day (Weds) and left on the Sunday, recorded Saints away to Everton on the tv on the Sunday, managed to avoid spoilers (a bit easier without social media and living in south Wales), watched it when I got home... of COURSE it was a tedious 0-0.
  15. It's not an "official" build up thread, just some stuff about if Man City will sell out.
  16. My only problem with it is the Ticketing mobile site doesn't allow you to change the ticket buyer for multiple purchases and you can't click a desktop link any more, but someone suggested using "open as desktop" in Chrome options.
  17. I had a problem signing in using my email address even though I know my email is linked to my ticketing account details and should have the same password as a result - the "site login" isn't set up to be the same as the ticket login by default, I don't think (though I have no idea where it's getting the password from if it isn't). I also saw a rogue message saying the password needed numbers and "a character" but mine doesn't, though it accepted one without when I did the password reset and it all works fine now, so just do the "forgotten password" email process and reset the password to what you thought it was already.
  18. I assume they're getting the stats from the official Premier League data supplier as per Premier League requirements, which would explain it.

    Soccer AM

Anyone pointing to Lovejoy leaving as a tipping point is probably right, but it was already pretty tired before that. I haven't watched more than 15 minutes of it in the past 4 or 5 years, and the only thing ever worth watching was stuff like Showboat, the Crossbar Challenge or the fairly recent thing with Bullard doing drills against some lower league pro. Max Rushden just didn't work, and Fenners is on tv far too much for a bloke as boring as he is. The last entertaining stupid funny thing they did was the Away Days thing, which was just stupid enough to work. As for the Rock, the guy's an incredible live entertainer, you can hardly credit Soccer AM for that. Also fairly sure Craig David just ceased to exist in the media around the same time Saints did without actually disowning the club.
  20. I've read the whole thread already, your argument is pointless precisely because the scenario you're outlining ignores the highest costs. The analogy with houses also doesn't work unless the house purchase expires after a contractual term and the more expensive house doesn't cost more than the original purchase to look after it. The analogy MIGHT work for renting, which is far nearer the equivalent of a footballer's contractual term. However, fundamentally your house argument is nonsense anyway, because having £500k in the bank and buying the same house that cost a million for half the price because you're playing the market smarter than others definitely DOESN'T make you worse off - you have the same house and £500k spare - as long as you're able to find that quality for the lower price. It's the same daft argument as the one that we should spend more money irrespective of whether it actually improves the team. It's irrelevant for as long as others are far more inefficient.
  21. FWIW we left at 7am and despite rumours of serious traffic in the vicinity resulting in a warning email to leave an hour early from EasyJet, we were at Luton Airport just after 9am. Typical, we then had 3 hours spare.
  22. You appear to have forgotten to factor in the cost of wages to this equation.
  23. They're claiming "boycott", as opposed to "being asked to pay extra on top of their dirt cheap ST prices". Comical.
  24. Heh, don't get me started on my Winning Eleven/PES editing days, used to spend weeks sodding about with the various templates to get as close as you could, before they used the Winning Eleven 3 J-League edition template for all PES games - and then you could finally import kit front designs. Various option file editors, etc. I also created the entire Southampton IFC (originally Saints Forever forum team) on the last version on the PS2 before the Xbox360 came out, about 10 years ago. Two entire squads and EVERY accurate skill score for every player in every category as well as heights, weights and build, edited boot style and colours, long/short sleeves, tucked and untucked shirts, the lot. I then created the same file with all the skills neutralised so I didn't upset anyone. My last PROPER look at FM was FM15, when I got to the 13th Tier of Welsh football with my league structure editing and team creation - including all Newport and District leagues, about 40 old teams from the 90s who no longer exist to give the leagues some future freshness, and all accurate cups, league cups, reserve divisions, promotion and relegation across Gwent County... plus about 5 different versions of myself and all my teammates with birthdates edited and potential amended depending on age. Since then they've merged the two Cardiff area amateur leagues and the whole thing now needs re-doing though...
  25. That would make the bestest Skates "none", so I could go along with that...
