  1. Where do you expect/hope we finish next season? I expect us to finish champions next year, with the safety buffer of second place... if there is some kind of major disaster then we have a last resort of the play-offs. I hope next season we are 100% focused on the league and play the youngsters in the early rounds of all 3 cups. Nothing less than promotion is acceptable. Que people mentioning Leeds and Nottingham Forest... they have been 'big' names in this division only in name, both clubs did not have money to spend and did not have the quality we have. By the start of next season we should have the best 11 players in their respective divisions in League 1, with replacements who would get into most League 1 teams... so there is no excuses. Southampton FC - League 1 Champions 2011 - You heard it here first.
  2. If we don't get promoted next season, it won't be acceptable as we will have BY A COUNTRY MILE the best team in the league man for man. Having said that, I fully expect us to gain automatic promotion and in a strange way, take some heart of us staying down this season to have a crack at the championship next season.
  3. Still behind him, he done an acceptable job this season. We got a Wembley day out in the lottery of the Cup, Ian Branfoot got us to Wembley, should we name a stand after him? Alan Pardew is the man for the job in my opinion, but some people are deluded if they think he has done an amazing job... he has done an acceptable job and deserves no more than a manly pat on the back. Next season I expect automatic promotion and nothing less.
  4. And to be honest... the FL will impose a points deduction on them anyway, with any hope.
  5. Pretty much sold out, there was less than 200 left before the game today.
  6. Oh... and register your number on TPS http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/
  7. Tell them you are a member of the TPS and if they call again you will report them.
  8. Good thinking. The summer is the best for casual wear, I expect to see everyone looking at their best for the Gillingham game. No excuses. No women or children either. My kids live 20 miles from Gillingham and were expecting to go and have been told that football is not for kids. I hope everyone else follows my example.
  9. Nick Illingsworth looks off his face, is this anyway for our very own fans representative to be behaving? Disgrace.
  10. Disgusting loutish behaviour.
  11. Oh, that is a possibility. All that matters is we have found each other again. StuRomseysaint and Georgie are now friends.
  12. FFS :-(
  13. 2007 it would have been, I remember the air guitar picture. You must have deleted me... I shall rectify this immediately. Saintsweb... bring people back together. Awwwwwww xx
  14. Hello Georgie. Can I poke you? I think we used to be 'MSN friends' back in the day of my no-life.
  15. One Sky ad... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEAIyH_gDSk No contest...
  16. I would hammer that until it bled...
  17. She won't go near you if you can't spell her name you retard!
  18. Georgina is single.
  19. I don't think we will go up this year... haven't done since October. But I have always said that I believe Markus's view and plans for the club are different from when he saved us. When he first bought us I think it was very much a business plan... he came to a few games and I fully believe he has now got the bug... and will start splashing the cash a bit more. We have the infrastructure both in facilities and local fanbase to be competing with Villa, Everton and Spurs... and if Liebherr keeps his promises, that's where I expect us to be in 5 years.
  20. Rebel, I am going to agree with you. xxx Southampton has a massive potential, the location, the fanbase and the business model. IMO it needs to be marketed right though, as soon as Saints are back into the Premiership they need to really get back in to local communities across the South... I remember when we were in the PL watching a Saints game in a local boozer and being amazed at how many Saints fans jumped up when Saints scored... with Bristol City being back in the Championship maybe a tougher nut to crack this time. However... Salisbury, Winchester, reclaim Basingstoke back off Reading, Bournemouth and most of the West Country all need to be hit again. Soccer Schools in the half terms, player visits, free coaching at local schools etc... Southampton could be a very marketable brand, there is a massive gap in the market for a 'big' Southern non-London club, out of all the teams in the PL and FL.... Southampton have the best potential to become that team. You also need a few 'celebrity' players... your Gazza's or Vinnie Jones' of old, or your Jimmy Bullards of recent times... players which are characters and get people talking.
  21. Well I was a kid at the time, my cousin is at Swindon now in a coaching role and was their manager at one point... I still f*cking hate the c*nts though... not sure why, I just can't stand Swindon
  22. I went to watch Millwall a few times when my cousin played for them and have alot of hammers in the family. I wouldn't really call them a second team thinking about it, more a case of I look out for their results and want them to do well.
  23. It is good to look forward, we have a 5 year plan and it is interesting to see where people see us at the end of the plan... as I said... good times ahead. Oh yeah, and I am looking forward to a nice trip to Bournemouth and Aldershot next year. 2 derbies. WoOoOop
  24. Errr, I have always followed Millwall ( and randomly West Ham ) as second teams. West Ham - Because that is where the old dears side of the family hail from. Millwall - Because my cousin played for them when I was younger.
