Dougall, Malc Lovelock etc were the main men late 60's , early 70's. As a 16 year old i remember chasing spuds and sammy back down Hill Lane towards the Station when they turned to face us, I found myself next to Dougall who looked at me and said just stand young'n Used to go on the train with Malc to away games between 76 and 78 have not seen them for years

7 points from 3 games equates to about 105 points in a season , enough for a play off place just a shame at beginning of season we were only getting 5 points from 3 games
-
but those games were against sides who borought a few more fans than Warsaw did, i know Poland is a long way of but a "taxi" load was pretty poor
-
so 20000 saints fans a few more Tuesday momentum building nicely

not sure if i should be proud or ashamed that i was at virtually all the games mentioned above. fought of United with Mr Coombes on the steps of Wembley, shared a locker at college with Clint Hodder(mentioned in Fitzhugh's post) went to the same school as Karen Bailey, although i was 4 years older. life was certainly different then but friendships have lasted a long time and many of us old boys still sit near each other in the Chapel. Funny thing was there were some bl*ody good footballers who supported the club in an "active" way. better shut up or the PC boys will be after me

never looked like conceding until they shot

strange 3 of the goals were because of balls played long into lambert, the first one was a classic , up to Lambert, little cushioned header and hit home by Puncheon.

will be a different atmosphere compared to last home game, still goin down with no money in bank will be true -
i am just glad we are winning more than losing. watching the team now is just like watching back in the early 60's when i started, we are full of hope of becoming a top flight club again as the long term objective with a few good cup runs thrown in. and even the skates are on the slide again a 50 year cycle is starting again so by 2034 we will top the European Super League problem is i will be 80

Do not think there will be any Madness this close season. Demand will be high without cut price deals

You will never beat the OB who thought the guys doing a demo for police dogs were invading the pitch at the Dell.
