Clyne to Arsenal Chambers to Arsenal Wanyama to Man City Jack Cork to Swansea
-
can you explain that for the hard of understanding? "This deal is good for the club because the developer and club President Stuart Robinson will give us land to the north of the stadium and also a strip behind the Fratton End as well as a substantial cash injection that is totally ring-fenced by Portsmouth City Council to be used only for improvements to Fratton Park." Are PCC ring-fencing the cash or actually giving the cash injection? I thought I'd better check, because if he bothered with some actual punctuation in this sentence, that would change the meaning dramatically.

17 games if Spurs make the final this season, 19 if Swansea do it.

Just as well only 21% of their transfer rumours turn into transfers otherwise we will struggle to field a side next season.

Goalkeepers - Hart, Foster, Forster Defenders - Cahill, Baines, Jagielka, Walker, Lescott, Shawcross, Shaw, Clyne Central Midfielders - Gerrard, Barkley, Wiltshire, Carrick Widemen - Townsend, Lallana, Wellbeck, Sterling Strikers - Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert We are so devoid of any quality at centre back. I'd be tempted to play Carrick or even Gerrard there.

did you bite your tongue on both occasions? I have visions of myself snapping after a long hard day/week in that position. -
you sold your apple shares as a result of a conversation you had with somebody in that bar?

did we really spend our `do whatever you want with away bonus' on painting the away end? Learjetting a few luck winners to Newcastle or Sunderland was such a better idea.

The crowds at FA cup games are derided, but I wonder what attendances would be like at league games if season tickets didn't exist (as they don't for cup games) and every game had to be sold in a single ticket basis?

Yeah, Jos not having much of a right foot is what ****ed me off most about yesterday too. Sigh.

So MP has been telling people what's in his contract? -
Some who attended blame him for the goal. Seats are a long way back, but my guess is that it's preconceived opinions that led to them thinking it was a 6 foot 4 bearded swede that passed it straight to an opponent 30 yards from goal or dangled a leg at Gardner rather than Maya and Wanyama.

Anything regarding a bonus in his contract should he win the fa cup? Just give your mate a call, maybe he can save time and just cut and paste the whole thing on here...sigh -

It's amazing how many people at football clubs seem to have access to employee contracts. -
Can someone that has been to all games tell me in which he has played well? I also think some time in the championship might be good for him, but then again we'd need someone better in our squad to take his spot.
-
You are a brave soul coming to Jos' defence. Minds have been made up about him long ago to such a degree that some are even blaming him for the goal conceded yesterday. I'd be interested to see a list of 4th choice centre backs at other prem clubs to see exactly how weak we are in that position.
-
Talk me through the goal and explain how Jos was to blame? Maya ****ed up with a dreadful pass in a dangerous area and Wanyama bottled a challenge, yet Jos gets the blame.

So finishing above Man U is more important than silverware?
Chez replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
We beat city last season and ran them ragged at times this at SMS. We also ran arsenal ragged at SMS recently. They might get drawn against each other....we might not face them until the final... -

You don't sound as though you made the 650 mile round trip yesterday or even watched the game live on tv. The whatever attitude of saints fans amazes me sometimes. I guess my passion for the fa cup might be misplaced these days. -
It appears Sir Rickie is not playing to his usually high standards
Chez replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
Lambert is very selective as to when he challenges for headers so as to not give away cheap free kicks. Sometimes when watching you want him to get in there, but when you, think about it, it makes total sense. Defensive Headers can go anywhere whilst free kicks are much more pin point, so best to not give them away if you can. -

This is a very good question, but for what gain? Will we be better prepared to win the cup next year? I don't see a steady rise into the top four, we will lose our best players, so when you have a chance to win a cup you have to take it. That 2003 side had bridge taken from it and look how quickly we went backwards. -
£180,000 for winning yesterday £360,000 for next round £900,000 for the semi £1,800,000 for winning it. Add to that the tv money for the 6th round of £247,000. No tv money for semi and final I don't think. Plus half the gate money for the 6th round. Possibly extra sponsorship money and merchandise revenue, not to mentioned potential increased season ticket revenue for the following season on that back of a feel good factor. Add that up and you get a lot more than the £2.2m difference between 10th and 7th. You have to win it mind you.
