  1. To be fair to Fox he really needs better cover than what Rodriguez can offer when asked to play wide left. Jay works his socks off, don't get me wrong, but a striker playing left wing leads to inevitable gaps and some ball watching, as it did on one or two occasions against city. I guess we won't play that formation all the time, but if we are going to leave a full back exposed to 2 on 1 situations we can't moan at the fullback for not stopping crosses coming in. Personally I am happy with Fox as cover. I wonder if he will be happy to play second fiddle?
  2. How does fat Sam gets away with saying that his sides are infairly labelled as being long ball merchants? That description is absolutely spot on. They do nothing but smash it long. They simply aren't good enough to pass it. ****ing terrible side. If I wanted to watch long ball I'd watch siunday league for free. I know they tonked us at their place, but bloody hell did they get the rub of the green that day. Really hope we beat them and their ugly sister Stoke in the run in.
  3. lose at the monkey hangers on Tuesday and they go bottom
  4. those on twitter will have seen the photo of the Portsmouth flag held below Southampton Central railway sign. Got the position right, below us. I notice that the "Portsmouth FC" has been attached to the wrong side of the flag. The shared braincell must have been in use elsewhere.
  5. thank you Carlsberg
  6. bring back Chris Perry
  7. this
  8. hard to pick a MOTM. Lambert was tremendous, his first touch even under extreme pressure was sublime, but then so too was Cork's industrious play and Jos managing to keep a lid on £50m worth of striking talent.
  9. We now know that there is no plan B, white knight, or chinny change of heart last minute decide to buy the club again option. Unless the judge sets the price of nottarfkrap at an amount closer to the £3m mark than the £12m chinny wants, its all over.
  10. note that as part of the CVA the football creditors will be paid off over several years so they don't need to find that money up front. Who will pay the £2m floating charge? The PST statement (seen a little way up this page) describes the PST has raised £2m. Does this include HNW shares?
  11. I kinow things have moved on, but can someone clarify whether PKF really are/were under pressure from Portpin to deal with them to avoid having to pay the £2m floating charge? Or was this just pure speculation on the News website comments? My understanding would be that whoever buys the club would have to find this amount as part of the offer and if they didn't include it before they need to now. If no buyer was found then PFC funds or PPs liquidated asset would cover it long before PKF ever had to dip into their pocket. Am I mistaken?
  12. no matter how much they are increased by, there will be people on here taking great pleasure in telling me that if I don't like it then "simply don't pay it". I don't see any reason to put them up again. The TV money increase is so big there is no reason to put ticket prices up.
  13. tell me everything I need to know. Going in June on a Cricket tour.
  14. hello, when did that happen? They haven't bought anything yet luv.
  15. if extending the stadium means I'm paying for it with substantial price rises to my season ticket, which is exactly what will happen, then I'm not looking forward to it. Not a chance of a stadium extension followed by cheaper ticket prices. Not a chance.
  16. Image a bit big to go on here, but check it out, these facilities are going to turn the corner for the skates. They can't help but impress the likes of Maradona and Riquelme http://www.cockleshellcsc.co.uk/IMG_1387.JPG Edit: see image above
  17. very happy to be successful, not particularly enamoured about paying Arsenal-like prices to watch that success.
  18. the BVI loan may well cost millions in interest each year, depending on its existence and size.
  19. £1.25m actually. Thank you David Pleat.
  20. at Wigan it was a Barcelona-style-full-court-press. Both strikers pushed right up, centre midfielder pushed right up on their deep lying CM and our left and right midfielders pushing right up onto their fullbacks all the time. It worked a treat. Wigan played through us once and boy did they have to work to even do that. The rest of the time they gave the ball away or hoofed it long. This tactic should be used nearly all the time. The Premiership simply does not have all that many teams with the players good enough to play through it. Yes some will go long and may proposer, but by and large most teams want to pass it out from the back, so lets get at them as they aren't good enough to do it.
  21. interesting comment at the bottom of that Agent David story: Please be advised that the Joint Liquidators' investigations are on-going. These investigations have so far lead to the commencement of legal proceedings against certain parties. Until all such claims have been brought and have concluded, the Joint Liquidators will not be in a position to disclose details of the findings. Some of these investigations, due to their nature and complexity, can take a number of years to conclude. Creditors will be kept updated of developments as and when the Liquidators are in a position to provide further updates. Should have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. 22. how about just if the football business doubled the season ticket price next season?
  23. selfishly I hope he doesn't get called up. I don't want him getting injured or tired.
  24. I said end of next season.
  25. our friendly reporter Neil Allen deemed her accusation enough to deserve a retweet. What's the legalities of posting a photo of someone on twitter accusing them of something or other?
