I don't think the PSt is going to be run like myfootballclub.com they have nominated a CEO and he and his board would make that decision just like any other club. This however might upset the fans/stakeholders

Pretty much how I feel. Hopefully he will prove to be a very good manager at Blackpool as that will mean the skates are now weaker for him going. We will see. He ill need to get Blackpool into the play offs otherwise he would have failed IMO given how well they did last season. I wonder if he will be able to keep Mat Philips and Ince in the window?
-
so how do we find out what the loan amounts to in terms of size and interest rate etc.?
-
haven't bournemouth got a squad that by rights should be near the top of the league? Have we? Not sure a change of manager always has the right effect as we saw the last time we went down.
-
This. IMO we should get Jos back in the side, written off far too early as Fonte wrongly was, then get an extra non attacking body in midfield (preferably Prowse, maybe Cork) and lets become a little harder to beat.
-
my memory is poor, but didn't you say something similar when the clot moved to pastures greener? Your response to uncle avram's departure is well beyond my grey matter, enlighten me if you can remember.
-
by the time Cork is fully fit he will have become the best player we have ever seen. He wasn't even first choice towards the end of last season in midfield. He's not a fullback or a centre back.

Jack Rose @Roseyboy3 @talkSPORTDrive no ones on decent wages, Appt kept club going single handedly over the summer. Shut up about things you know nothing about talkSPORTDrive @talkSPORTDrive @Roseyboy3 one player on £8k a week fact, so god knows what the average is
-
now we know what Simon Blackpool was talking about "I am forced to wonder therefore, at what point we accepted that Blackpool was going to become a refuge for the dispossessed and the never-possessed?" Only kidding. Personally I think Appy did a reasonable job all things considering. The squad he inherited was utter ****e and the loans HE brought in, such as George North, were by far and away their best players last year. Putting a completely new side together with (the totally justified) restrictions on contracts, no matter what the wages offered might be, was a tough assignment. I thought he came across well and was pretty dignified. I'm surprised they have won quite so many games as they have. I'm sure most will disagree, but I'd like to think they will get worse now not better.
-
Darren Gough on talk****e seemed unimpressed by all the talk of Appless having to work with the smallest of budgets saying on air that he knew for a fact that there were players there on big money.
-
we did in 2005 he scored the only goal, the game I was referencing was 2009. Neither install many fond memories
-
Jamie Ward scored the winner. Not sure Shipperly played in that game.

Morale...has Gastons pay package had an affect?
Chez replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
if he was **** then the players might ask WTF? But he quite clearly is decent. Where do you get that £60k a week figure from? I seem to recall the initial Italian story said £38k a week, but maybe gross and net comes into play? -
still got lower stand tickets, and restricted view upper

Not too many fair-weather supporters there that night. I recall saying through gritted teeth to the two lads I regularly go with that you have to experience the lowest of lows to really appreciate the highs.
-
you can probably add Butterfield to that list as I would imagine he will offer advice and opinion. My guess is they are all being used, but it's not strictly a back four issue, the defeat on Monday showed that ever position on the pitch is failing to do its job and that has a knock on effect defensively. Attacker and midfielders giving the ball away cheaply leads to pressure, which leads to chances, mistakes and goals conceded. Lambert, Ramirez or whoever making the right choice when we have the ball can ensure we keep it and that could mean one less attack to defend against. Dodd tell Fox he should get tighter won't revolutionise our defensive performances as a team.

calm down dear, when I used the royal `we', I was generalising and besides you even agreed with my sentiment. Mind you don't ever fall off that horse, it looks terribly high. For your interest I agree with all those reasons and personally enjoyed the Championship greatly and perhaps even more our time in League 1. However, don't kid yourself that all those reasons to like would go out the window for the vast majority if we were getting stuffed. I was at St Marys with the 13k others watching Sheff United rob us in a dour midweek game and it was plain for all to see that losing most weeks puts many fans off, no matter how cheap the tickets are.
-
no you wouldn't. No, what am I saying, you would probably moan. we have the infrastructure and now Cortese has mortgaged future earning we have the money. After 27 years in the top flight the fans have a premiership mindset. Not sure that is true. Our fans are poretty much the same as every other club. Some hardcore, many passionate and many fair-weather. As one of the paltry13k watching us lose the Sheff United on a Tuesday in February 2009 I can testify to this. they have more fanatics. Each might be slightly less fanatical than you, but hard to make that assessment. Winning = happiness. And? Games were moved all over the place for TV. no idea what this means. It feels harsh and expensive, but if we should get it together at some point and we beat someone decent it will feel ****ing great.
-
total and utter drivel. Look at the number of teams that have gone up from league 1 into the Championship and `consolidated'. Brighton, Barnsley, Leeds, Cardiff, Forest, Bristol City, Watford, Millwall, Peterborough. Consolidation can quickly become stagnation. Oh and your yoyo idea also sucks as Burnley, Brum, Hull, Derby, Ipswich, Palace, Middlesbrough and Blackpool fans will tell you.
-
The skates are becoming ever easier to spot
-
we don't like the championship or the lower leagues, we just like winning. If we were winning most weeks then this would be the best league in the world. In don't recall a single fan saying how much they enjoyed it when we were getting beaten most weeks in the championship. Oh and the idea that we play at 3pm on a Saturday every week in the championship was false as we regularly had games moved for TV.
-
no it hasn't.
-
Morgan was poor at West Ham as well by the way. In contrast Davis had a great game. Still think we need a third `proper' central midfielder playing if we are to have both Lallana and Ramirez in the side.
-
To avoid disappointment, aim lower is my advice.
-
not sure I'm that bothered to be honest, so long as he is talking to the manager. Actions speak louder than words. Unfortunately some of his actions have annoyed me, but moaning about ticket prices and taxes gets short shrift on here, you're only allowed to moan about missing left backs.
