  1. lucky us.
  2. no chance Thomas will be given a new deal. Pardew has shown time after time how little he rates him. Being dropped after the Ipswich game said it all. Lancashire is out the door. No way we would have signed Martin of Pardew felt he would make it given time. Perry will also not be offered a new deal. Fonte/Jaidi/Seaborne/Martin. That's your 4 whether they are good enough is a different matter. Murty has zero chance. Semi will get a contract. Being outpaced by the skates down that flank right in front of AP willbe something that lives long in his memory. Never again are we going to be done by pace alone. Gillett is gone. Pardew doesn't trust his first touch to play in front of the back four that's why he played him at the front of a diamond no the back. Amazed he came back from Donny. Bartosz Bialkowski is an interesting one. Is he going to sit on our bench for ever? If he doesn't want to then sign O'Brien from the skates. Michael Poke's contract may depend on Barts decision. Kayne McLaggon is gone. Anthony Pulis is gone. David Connolly will get another year. He was tremendous earlier in the season. Papa Waigo. Who knows, but we should sign him. As we should Michail Antonio.
  3. you are wrong. He signed a 2.5 year contract. So we are lumbered with him for JUST???? another season I'm afraid.
  4. bit harsh. He has a decent first touch and composure on the ball. There is still time for him. He had a real mix bad display today, quite a few teribble passes for starters, but out on the right in the second half he offered decent widtch (though never making it to the byeline of course) and kept posession pretty well. But bear in mind its his first start for a long time and its not easy to find your best form straight away. Lallana was much worse today.
  5. About time we got some decent pies. Ours are terrible burnfest, no meat overpriced crap.
  6. Another very poor showing from us in the first half, but a marked improvement in the second once Waigo came on. He added a degree of quality to proceedings that helped us to create a few openings. Sadly the damage was done by then. I'm glad Pardew gave Martin, James and Connelly a chance, but we weakened the side and lost as a result. Davis 5 - not sure if he or Fonte was to blame for the goal, but bloody poor by both might be fair. Caught and punched (a couple weren't great) today but no actual saves. Semi 5 so casual its not true. One terrible bit of (ballwatching) defending in the first half was instantly recovered by his pace. Where is the determination though? He will frustrate me all next season as well, but his pace will get us out of jail as well. Kept posession pretty well. Fonte 1 Woeful. Played on the left side and he clearly didn't want to turn out onto hisleft side and because of that he got himself in a mess. Martin 5 Won some headers (he should win a lot considering the size of him) but very slow on the turn and his positional play is going to need some work. Didn't have the confidence on the ball so passed back to Kelvin when there was no need, at times I wondered if he was good enough for this level. Better teams may run rings round him. Having said that it was his debut so he will improve. Mills 7 Pretty solid and got stuck in. Not a lot of overlapping but then again we were playing 4-3-3 in the second half so maybe not wise. Lallana 1 ****e. Puncheon 7 some good stuff, some not so good. James (first half 1 second half 6) some very poor passing and was beaten all hands up by their winger showing how poor he is defensively, but he did get better as the game went on and his first touch was decent. Not nearly enough grit in the first half, but much better second. As usual he didn't get to the byeline ever. Hammond 8 Real desire all game. Gave everything. He has been very good since getting back to full fitness. For a dead rubber game you couldn't ask much more of him. Connnely 5 He had five chances and scuffed four of them badly. Three in the first half were woeful and showed his lack of sharpness. The same could be said of the 5th chance late on that he should have done so much better with. His touch did get better as the game went on (I'd of though with tiredness it would get worse???) and given two or three games he would be back to his best. Barnard 7 Gave everything as usual, challenging for every header (winning a few). I love how he runs 30 yards to make arial balls whilst the rest stand and watch. When we moved to three up front he played deep and looked lost. Work rate but is there genuine threat? Seaborne 6 we looked much tighter at the back when he came on, but they still scored from a set peice. Not sure if he was at fault though. Don't think so. Waigo 7 great first touch, and got us moving, linking the play very well. Should have shot first time with one chance and the second (even better chance) he seemed to cross when the goal was there to go for. Lambert 7 won some headers and had one great half volley blocked
  7. they actually have one in the car park every Sunday
  8. when you are getting his hourly wage it pays to find lots of pointless things to do like fighting worthless long winded causes such as this.
  9. absolute perfect fall guy for all their problems. If only he had bene there a little longer every single thing that ever went wrong would have been his fault. AA said on the Quay that no single person was responsible for the non payment to the charities. Not sure why he didn't at least hint at Azougy.
  10. like when we put a 23 year old Blayney on the bench behind the loaned in after the deadline Kasey Keller.
  11. Chez

    Wade Elliott

can you refresh my memory why he was booed?
  12. on the creditors list he appears twice in the list of player liabilities, the first for £21,150, the second for £101,000. Not sure what these figures represent. Monthly wages, bonuses perhaps?
  13. I concur. "You can have Mokeona for free..." and "I'll drive both there myself" were the comments I got earlier today. Big old drop down to League 1.
  14. Dark needs to take his blue tinted glasses off as they paid a fee for both Williamson and Boeteng. Well they agreed to anyway. I doubt Ben-Haim signed without a juicy big fat signing on fee too.
  15. That's what I thought. I wonder what AP thinks of Gobern. He seemed to get him out on loan pretty sharpish. I didn't get the feeling he trusted him, just as he doesn't trust Gillett. I wonder if both have the first touch that AP thinks they need to have to play in the middle.
  16. he was out of contract so no transfer fee was due. The guy has hardly put a foot wrong since the QBR debarcle. He's been outstanding over the last three seasons and improved both his distribution and coming for crosses. OK, so at times his long balls are not always perfect, but when they are decent do you really give him credit for them? Compare his distribution to that of the likes of the Franchise FC keeper. As for crosses, he still doesn't come for a lot, but he has improved since the early days. In my eyes we are very fortunate to have Davis. He has had to work bloody hard to get rid of the `Sunderland dirty brush' plus the bad errors early doors at Saints. But those days are long gone...
  17. you are right a decent paser, but he plays at CB and in all honesty he ain't all that good there. Harding filled in well at right back, but it woudl be complete madness to play him there lomg term. His best work is bombing down the line and deliverin soem decent crosses. He didn't do that at right back. He's left footed.
  18. terrible first touch, then two 5 yard passes backwards. How anyone can say he looked good is beyond me. Its almost impossible to pass judgement as the game was over. The thing I would say is that he looked extremely laid back, perhaps too much for someone on his debut trying to show what he can do. I was excited at his inclusion as I'vre seen his name mentioned in lots of youth and reserve team reports, butI have a question, is he better than Gobern in that position?
  19. I agree, very good target man. Never going to drop down to the third division.
  20. The potential administration Hull face by going down are in no small part down to Boatengs wages. His wage demands were so big even Boro turned him down hence the move to Hull.
  21. you coudl well be. Harding has been absolutely fantastic. There isn't a left back in league 1 that I'd swap him for.
  22. No?
  23. backs my theory up that `big name' players tend to get the vote. Mind you which player from Millwall would you select ahead of what was selected?
