Not that anyone was in any doubt, but yesterday it was confirmed that it is impossible to stay up this season with only five wins as every team from 18th upwards already has five wins, and it is only 20th January with a mere 15 games and four months remaining in the season.

8 points, assuming we don't win all of those "winnable" games (a safe assumption, as stuff just happens). But that's still plenty to stay up - 30 points with 10 games to go, and we'd still be out of the bottom 3. Anything more than 8 and we genuinely do start looking up not down.

We have gone through the grand total of zero transfer windows in the post Reed era so really rather early to make any judgements. We haven't signed anyone yet so let's at least give it another couple of weeks.
