Desperately need a point. Desperately.
-
That's why we are going down.
-
Here we go.
-
THANK YOU VERY MUCH BLACK BOX
-
Always dangerous when we get a corner. Dangerous for us.
-
That'll be why Long is playing and Gabbiadini isn't.
-
Don't let 'em back in, Saints.
-
Desperately need two because I can't see us keeping a clean sheet in a million years.

COME ON COME ON COME ON COME ONNNNNNNNN

If he was on the Liverpool payroll then surely he'd be signing players that would then be good enough for Liverpool in two seasons time? How does signing rubbish players and getting us relegated help Liverpool?
-
...on this day in 2003 Saints fans were still celebrating the point gained the week before at home to West Ham. This kept them nicely in touch with the top ten and ultimately we finished the season in eighth place with that point against the Hammers and then a 3-2 win against Leeds (which we nearly coc ked up) helping deliver that 8th place finish. Great days in the league.

We need something out of this game - a well deserved or completely undeserved point, doesn't matter, we have to get something out of the game. I can't quite see us winning because defensively we are so shocking. At least a point won't cut us off completely and gives us something ahead of Leicester. In every season there's always a week where a bunch of relegation threatened teams suddenly all win and looking at the fixtures that looks likely today.

Surman was neither loyal or disloyal. He was sold because we had to sell him and he had no choice in the matter. He wanted to stay because he was on a perfectly good little number with us. Stretching it to call it loyalty. If he'd progressed into some wonder player with us then no doubt he would have been just as loyal as the Wallace brothers and Shearer and Steve Williams and Lallana and Shaw. Quite frankly loyalty is a pointless currency to worry about. Fans aren't loyal - you're very happy to slate players and managers you don't like - so why they should be loyal to fans?

As others have said - name the clubs and the amounts. The reason several people are asking you this question is because either there is a huge collective amnesia and we've all forgotten or maybe none if it happened. Funnily enough I can remember Kelvin nearly going to WHU around the admin time and I can remember Lallana deciding not to go to Fulham at the same time. But amazingly I have no recollection of all these bids for players that we'd literally just bought or given new contracts to and were part and parcel of a charge through the divisions at a club owned by a fu cking billionaire. Enlighten us.
-
We sold Surman because we were skint so not sure what relevance he has to anything. And you're accusing others of warping the facts but you seem to be constructing an alternative reality that no one else remembers because it didn't happen. There was no reported interest or bids for in any of those players from any club that had any capability to take them from us so I don't know why you are pursuing with this utter fiction.

Snapped like a Nacho.

The stats say a goal line clearance every other game.

What is certainly true is that in World football, just as much as in England, a handful of super rich and super powerful clubs have always dominated. The elite clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Ipswich Town, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Liverpool plus more recently Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG are all able to dominate leagues and bully smaller clubs with their financial muscle.

Always a pleasure sweetheart x x

During the summer of 2011, Ipwich Town did splash the cash and my god they splashed the cash big style. They signed Michael Chopra for a cool ONE MILLION POUNDS and also Jay Emmanuel Thomas for an eye-watering ONE POINT ONE MILLION POUNDS. One can only wonder at the huge sums they would have been talking about to snatch Lambert from us that summer and I can only marvel at the way our leadership and multi-billionaire owner managed to hold firm in the face of these big spenders where money was clearly no object. Seven figure sums for Christ's sake. Makes you sick really when you think about those obscene sums and, like, what nurses earn and that.
-
Were you one of the "he scores every other game you know" statistical geniuses?
-
I imagine Lambert was absolutely fuming to not get the chance to better himself at a gigantic club like Ipswich and play for probably the greatest manager British football has ever known what used to manage Bradford. Fair play to Cortese on fending off the big boys.
-
Personally I am thoroughly enjoying the completely random and unguessable nature in top flight football these days and going into August without the faintest idea who will be in the top six come May. Not like those bad old days of the eighties when it was just so obvious and predictable that flipping Watford would finish second yet again.
-
Beat me to it. Last two matches 4-0 and 5-0 victories. Clearly showing Marco Silva how to get Hull actually out of a relegation predicament. Go on my son.

The way Koeman got Shane to play so well with Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan was one of the major things that often gets overlooked when reviewing Ronald's St Mary's career.
