Nothing is suggesting that he is the man who can improve on the eighth place finish that the previous manager was sacked for. Clear question marks around whether he can get us into the top half, or even the top 17. If he was sacked in the morning, that would be fine by me.
-
Well, it might work. Newcastle home is usually a banker for us, no matter how dreadful our form is, so let's look forward to a straightforward procession to three points.

We finished eighth last year and all you've done is moan like a miserable fuc king bi tch , so what's your point?

Still not grasped the notion of a multi-faceted general election then? Shurlock did try but I suspected he was wasting his time. Pigsh it thick. Don't ever change x x x

Err, not entirely sure who has actually said that "the US has imposed a 300% tariff on a Canadian company because Britain voted to leave the EU". Tell you what, I'm going to go with absolutely fu cking no one has said that. I was responding to you saying Bombadier's issues with the UK had "nothing to do with US/UK trade relations". Just for clarity this is you quoted as saying exactly that. If it has "nothing to do with UK/US trade relations" then why is our Prime Minister bothering to get involved, and contacting the US President about it? On my planet, the UK Prime Minister contacting the US President about a trade relations issue has a real "UK/US trade relations" twang to it. Maybe it's just me and you're right. Or maybe not.
-
If say that your belief that these are "two separate issues" is the problem.

Just to recap. Internet forum dinlow who was too gutless to place an actual vote in a in/out referendum is now having a pop at people for not treating a multi-faceted general election as a proxy referendum re-run. That's just my opinion.

Here's the Prime Minister of Great Britain getting involved in something that has nothing to do with us and no impact because it's about Canada. Weird she's so bothered about it because, you know, ha ha there's no Made in UK labels or somefink or whatever. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/09/27/theresa-may-threatens-us-withtrade-war-bombardier-row/amp/

It's nice, for a change, to sit through a crushingly dull nil-nil draw.

Despite being languishing in 16th and at a woeful point a game you have indeed remained passionate and ambitious. Fair play.

We're only one more defeat away from this forum going maximum retard = Les Reed is trying to get us relegated on purpose to spite the fans. Just a sweepstake on who comes up with it first. Get your money on Nordic.

We sacked our last manager for finishing eighth - therefore we can only conclude that finishing eighth is not good enough for those running the club. To finish better than eighth I'd say winning away at Stoke would not be an unreasonable expectation, as would picking up a fair few more points from a very simple opening run of fixtures. We need significant improvement very quickly.

Puel was clearly a very competent manager, could stick a team out that was solid and competitive, and steered us to eighth and to a cup final despite missing a key striker and our best player across the two halves of the season, plus huge fixture congestion before Christmas. The season ended badly, and it did feel a slightly harsh but understandable decision to sack him. But the issue is the replacement of him with a flavour-of-the-month unproven replacement. Clearly Les had the "he's found another hidden gem" headlines already written in his head but it is not looking like he is anywhere near the standard required. He's certainly not the step up we were led to believe we were getting after sacking a manager for finishing eighth. Thankfully I think we have enough quality in the squad to stay up especially when clearly there are worse teams than us about, but it's going to be a long season and feel we will be rolling the dice, Watford style, all over again in the summer.

Fingers crossed for this afternoon.

I don't think this is quite true just yet.

You do realise you've posted this nonsense on a thread called Led Reed OUT?
-
How he has become the only undroppable outfield player in the squad beggars belief.

The decision to not replace Rodriguez looking like a catastrophic error right now.
