  1. As long as we don't sign any cheap rubbish bargain basement right backs like we did when we sold Clyne. I mean what happened to that guy?
  2. Possibly the most obvious wind-up post in the history of electricity.
  3. I do think of the old loon from time to time. Usually when innocent people are slaughtered in a terrorist atrocity.
  4. Complacency driven slide. Jesus wept. 8th, 7th, 6th and then after, what, six seasons of non stop improvement we drop back a bit to mid table in the Premier League and the whining begins. But hey, keep wishing and hoping and praying and one day we could be just like Stoke City or West Brom. I wish we were Stoke I wish we were Stoke I wish we were Stoke. I remember thinking that when they finished 9th and then 9th again and right now when they look down on us from 13th it so clear to me that they are a club who clearly don't know the meaning of complacency driven slide. Such drive. Such ambition. Such kicking on and kicking on and kicking on. I wish we were Stoke.
  5. So much effort for so little return. Stick to quoting self-help gurus, that's a lovely little new angle. This is a rehash of previously failed routines. 2/10.
  6. Okay then.
  7. Your the one who seems to want to argue the toss over me saying I think she will sell in good faith and you saying you're not questioning anything she's going to do. At least you've given up the horse sh it about her coming back the ground for a round of applause.
  8. Being that the interviewer would have asked him about the speculation, meaning he has to give an answer of some kind, I seriously doubt there is anything at all he could have said that would stop you saying/thinking that.
  9. Are you prepared to accept that Jeremy Corbyn will never be Prime Minister now?
  10. Another masterpiece right there.
  11. Still don't understand what not coming back to ground has got to do with anything. Your starting position is people only do right by people so they can come back and bask in gratitude or affection at a later date? You can accept that she wants to do right by us for reasons in and of itself? Because I do. If you can't accept that I am allowed to look at Chinese football club ownership as something as a flop in the UK in general and simultaneously think that Katharina will endevour ro do right by us then God help you. Is everything in your world that linear? There's shades of grey in the real world sunshine.
  12. You mentioned coming back to the stadium not me. You have no idea whether she is selling for "maximum profit" or any details of any deal but insinuate what you like. She's been a fine custodian of the club, she will sell it on in good faith and that will be that. Era over. I think she deserves the chance to sell it on before people start questioning her morals. You don't, fine.
  13. Aintforever does not understand this concept so I'd advise giving up now before he starts listing out all the Tory MPs that supported Brexit again.
  14. Odd you accuse me of talking "football supporters nonsense" then go on to come out with pure football supporters nonsense yourself. Come back to the stadium when she's sold it? What are you on about? What kind of measure is that? All I am saying is she has been much more than just an excellent custodian of the club/business and I think she will sell it on to someone in good faith that they will take it forward in the right way, rather than any old Arab or Chinese with the biggest briefcase of money. Personally I think through her behaviour and actions over the last five years shes earnt that respect. If you don't agree that's up to you. I don't expect her to continue to come back to the club when she's sold up like David Brent hanging around the reception of Wernham Hogg. She will sell and let the next lot get on with it. But that a bloody long way of accusing her of having no morals who will sell to anyone for cash.
  15. Chinese ownership has been a roaring success in the Midlands so what's not to love. Please can we have Zola as manager thank you please.
  16. Nothing says aspiration like a decade of trolling a forum in ever more transparent ways under multiple usernames. Have you ever thought about doing a series of inspirational talks to paying guests in youth clubs and church halls?
  17. Well I do. She's done a heck of a lot of for our football club but you go ahead and insinuate that she's only after a quick buck. And then top it off by pontificating about "morals". Classy stuff.
  18. If we were 16th right now having lost lots of games 4-2 and draw lots 2-2 this forum would still be in the grip of a meltdown from precisely the same dins. (Why can't we hold on to a lead FFS) Lets also remember the same dins have sneeringly written off the progress of young/skilful players as being by default ("yeah, but that's just because he's played"). So lets not pretend people want that either when there is proper moaning to be done. Conversely, convert a handful of our drab 0-0s to equally drab 1-0 wins, put us in 7th and it would be party time.
  19. All this talk of tactical voting and alliances on the left but it is pretty clear that May will win a landslide helped in no small part from huge switching from UKIP to the Tories. It happened last night and will happen in a big way next month. UKIP+Tory vote 2015 will annihilate every other party in 2017. And still the Corbynistas will blame every other #$#$ than their guy.
  20. You do it. The rest of us couldn't give a flying fu ck.
  21. He's our chief executive officer.
  22. I don't understand what you mean by "target", then - European football is the target every season, it was the target this season and we got pretty close to delivering it at wembley, which would have three years in a row, flipping good for a team our size (I can't think of any clubs like us in my lifetime that have done it. Villa, but they are much bigger than us). So where has anyone said it wasn't the target? Yes we have made some mistakes and dropped back a bit this season but there you go, it was going to happen eventually. So you are saying "of course we won't finish top 6 or 7 every season" but you seem to be struggling to accept a season when we are falling short and pretending we have changed the target. We haven't. We target European football every season. Fact. Happy now?
  23. No idea what Tottenham have got to do with anything, suffice to say throughout that entire time you are talking about they remained a far bigger club than us, mid table finishes or not, and we finished above them only a handful of times during that period. Of course Tottenham wouldn't be happy with a 10th place now, but our equivalent to that would be mid table in the Championship, and no one on her is saying they'd be happy with that. So what's your point? Targets do change over time, which is why Leeds and Villa have a target to get promoted back to the Premier League. Ours has changed from promotion, to staying up to challenging for the European places. The target hasn't changed. We've fallen short this season but anyone that thinks we were going to be top six without fail every single season forever from now is a moron. I have no expectation whatsoever that new investment will suddenly turn us into Manchester City or anything like it. KL wants to sell up because of she doesn't have the stomach for the ongoing investment season after season to stay where we are, not because she hasn't got the investment to smash the champions league (which she hasn't got either). I doubt very much that any new owner will deliver that, outside of a Leicester freak-show.
