I thought they were sacked because they are woofters.

A definite contender for the role of "this is our traditional song it is, honest it is our traditional song" despite the fact no fu cker has actually ever sung it at a football match. It's about time Woolston Ferry had some much needed competition.
-
In fairness I'm not sure that Pompey fan was suggesting it as a song no one has ever sung at a football match before. Really don't think our own fanbase has any moral high ground on originating football chants.

Pretend you're living in Durban. Express lots of admiration for the way Ian Smith did things in Rhodesia. That kind of thing.

A man from Southampton and currently living in Sholing pretending to an American living in America is accusing other people of being obsessed. 10/10. I think it's well worth you trying out a new character, George. My suggestion would be a white South African pensioner pining for the good old days when "they knew their place". You'll get some cracking bites with this one. Your one-note by-numbers American act, clanging all the pitifully obvious troll bells you can muster up? Not so much. You'll notice you get nothing but pointing and laughing these days. Come on, give us a new character!

Also worth pointing out that it is SOG who likes to retread his arguments on this forum in front of different people on another forum, where the response generally ranges from total disinterest to "why do you keep bringing debates from the other forum over here?" and not much in between. So his complaints about being "followed" around is trumped by own obsession with dragging his SWF debates with him where ever he goes on the Internet.

Can't remember the name of a surreal comedy, help please?

That was the 90s, though. As Ray would say, "What a personal disaster". -
Please see the universal "observation" that football fans tend to be the fiercest critics of their own players, or have you failed to notice the slagging off by some in the ground and on here of Tadic/Mane/Cedric/Yoshi/JWP/Davis/pretty much any player you could ever care to name in the history of our club. Spurs fans, West Ham, S****horpe, St Mirren fans would be no different. No fans say they think a player is excellent just because they would "hardly admit" the opposite to a fan of the club they bought him from. No fans do that. It's nonsense and you know it. Also if, as you say, Spurs fans have higher expectations than us, then they'd have higher standards than us and would expect better than us, so I'd anything more likely to slag off poor players and management, which they do, and have done throughout my entire lifetime. Spurs fans saying Toby and Poch are "excellent" or "good" say that because that's what they think, rose tinted or not, and not, ever, because they would "hardly admit" the opposite to the club they signed them from. You need to work on your "observations", as usual.
-
But they've pretty much never beaten us. Beyond tinpot.
-
As does the ever youthful Nwa nkwo Kanu.
-
He looks like a 36 year old insurance salesman.
-
What you said was this: Why on earth would Spurs fans "hardly admit that the manager they got from us were poor decisions"? Spurs fans say they thing their manager is good and their centre back is good because they are good. Nothing to do with "hardly admitting" anything. If Pochettino and Toby were sh it they'd "accept" that just like any fans of any club.
-
"I love you Pompey" to that tune would sound rather good, to be fair.
-
The9 can probably do the maths but I doubt our coefficient would be much better than this year - we lost to a lower seeded team so technically proved to "worse" than our initial coefficient suggested. Unless we get an improved score based on the fact we qualify from England twice in a row, of course.

"He's going to mention Stephen Lawrence in a minute" thinks me to myself. And boom! Off he goes. Still ludicrous. Reckon he's only five posts away from the Holocaust, which I have no doubt he'll pretend other people here have never heard of, but, like, Charlie has. He'll be demanding people "now admit" that it happened and everything. Really rather sweet to accuse others of being out of their depth when one's entire position is to pompously argue against an entirely fabricated opposing position that no one has said and then get jolly outraged about it, replete with more Grandstanding than Des Lynam and Steve Rider put together. But crack on in your little fantasy land Charlie. It's like having a debate in chuffing Narnia.

Arf. Answer the question. Laughable. Teach us all, oh wise one, teach us all more about stuff every effing single one of us already knows all about.
-
Am I now agreeing that? Now? Now I've been educated by SWF's most pompous grandstander? Fu ck me, I'm not sure you could get any more patronising.
-
No surprise - this season is looking like his and probably Spurs best shot at fourth for a while. He's a settled season ahead of Klopp so really should be set up nicely for him. However, if the papers are to be believed Levy wants 4th and CL regularly, not nearly fourth, which is what other managers have been sacked/let go for.

It's ludicrous because this is supposed to be a thread about the potential for a high profile footballer to come out as gay in 2015, and then a general discussion about how homophobic society is in general. It's not a thread about institutional racism in the police force in the 1970s, or institutional racism in the police force now, or racism anywhere, then or now. So your Parkhurst routine wasn't even about homophobia, it was about racism so even less to do with the topic in hand than even I originally thought. So I am actually even more right than I thought, that you were just grandstanding by using 1970s examples to make a point about 2015 Britain.
-
I didn't accuse you of lying, just said they were ludicrous claims, and they are. Blathering on about stuff people said to you decades ago not really germane to the topic in hand, it just facilitated your pompous and pointless grandstanding, which has stunk the whole thread out. So let's be clear - I believe every word you say. It just has fu ck all to do with anything.

When have I got some of my own medicine back? In other news, someone crying like a girl: The unmitigated gall of it. PS: "Crying like a girl" is, like, so sexist and demeaning and people should be locked up for saying stuff like that. Preferably with your pals in Parkhurst.
