When you say people like Adam Lallana, you basically mean Adam Lallana. But you're right, we all enjoyed the fabulous farewell Nicola laid on for the manager who lead us to two promotions. I mean, what a farewell that was.

I'm not planning on having a reasoned debate with someone who drools over Nicola Cortese's "dignified silence" anytime soon. But thanks for giving me a nice chuckle anyway.

Which clubs actually do that? Just sounds like a situation that is completely unsatisfactory for everyone involved. Are the 20 games each predetermined at the start of the season, or is each keeper told "make one mistake and you're dropped". Also, can you point me in the direction of the outfield players taking part in this twenty games each rolling rota idea? What League games is Fonte getting binned off for to give someone else a go? Ronald doesn't do it for the rest of the squad so the idea he's going to start with the keeper is fanciful at best.

Plenty of LOLs there. Great work as usual.

That makes absolutely no sense as an opening line.

He lives just off the Mane road.

About the same as Liverpool then.

How much can Juve pay in wages these days?
-
It's possible he has no interest in signing for us to be back up to a fully fit Frazer. He might do, but he might want to be first choice somewhere else.

Lacking in height?

Can't see any of the CL six going for Vardy. He's 29 in January, and I can't see which of those managers would want him. Brendan, maybe, in panic-buy mode, but now he's gone I can't see the likes of Poch or Klopp or Pelligrini going for him. It's the kind if signing that maybe West Ham, Stoke or Newcastle might pay over the odds for, but in reality I'm not sure they would actually end up paying him much more than Leicester would, especially with the new TV deal.

It will be around about now that the big clubs will get together and start paying journalists to write negative stories about Leicester City to destabilise them to prevent them finishing top four. I understand that's how it works anyway. It's definitely what happened last year when they made up that pack of lies about our chief of recruitment going to Spurs. I mean, that was just nonsense.

You think Leeds switching to an all-red kit would be "not much of a bother for them?". Okay then.
-
Arf. The cult lives on.
-
Just think how many millions of new fans they will gain China in once Leeds start stepping out in their new all-red kit. They'll look so modern and forward thinking.

I did wonder how long it was going to take Crabby to yet again start reeling off names of random lower division keepers who he just happens to be an expert on and all just happen to be better than "League One standard" England International Frazer Forster. The answer us not that long. Funny he isn't getting all wet over Boruc any more. Pity.

It's nearly worth the club having another mini injury crisis where Ronald is forced to pick Gaston just so we can see the drips on this forum whipping themselves in a frenzy, and making out Gaston's "comeback" is the greatest footballing redemption in living memory. He done an assist he did.

He's basically turned into Howard Wilkinson.

Cedric in the top 10 best tacklers in the PL (so far)

That's definitely what Everton would have done. -
We said there was a bomb on the plane to cover up Prime Minister's Questions? The other stuff you talk about I knew about through hearing about it/reading about it on the news. Which is, like, the media and stuff. As cover ups go, pretty weak effort then.

Martina was not a replacement for Chambers. Toby was in the role of RB cover if needed, with £8m on Gardos as back up CB if Toby was needed at RB. As it turned out he spent more time as DCM cover. Since then it seems that Yoshi has been earmarked that role, with Caulker covering the back up CB role. Martina is squad meat to cover Europa/League Cup fixture strain, clearly not really required now. Football Club makes poor signing shock. -
Tweet from @footiebizawards Hats off to the club - it was genuinely rather funny. I subsequently enjoyed Tom Davis in Murder In Successville. And he was in Brian Pern last night too. He is, however, actually a WHU fan so I'd expect Pluto to start a thread about that shortly.

There is no evidence that there are "many potential ticket sales going to waste", quite the opposite. And you think it takes a "skilled" businessman to tie up, say £50m in capital/loans to build a load of seats there is no evidence we need and no business case that they would pay back? The "big decision" has been made - the club do not need to expand the ground, and doing so would be an aimless punt driven by vanity.

I think I'd better confess that I am Saint George and have been for some time. Fair to say I've run out of steam with him, and it was all getting a bit samey and really rather obvious, although the Scholing "accidental" mis-spelling was a nice final flourish. Anyway, I am working on a new character who I hope you will love/hate just as much. She's going to be a right feisty one.

Very good. Really good.
