SNOWY

Sensible pricing will mean a decent crowd. Good to see.

I was at the match, Swindon are a very young squad & lightweight. I don't think it will be much of a test. I saw Bournemouth at Eastleigh on Tuesday and they were excellent. That will be a test.

After Mr Grant's hoax last night (which I fell for) I would have put up with anything. But I like this kit, it looks like a Saints kit, proper badge, black shorts, the socks are shocking but can't have everything. Pricing is ridiculous but that is a "football" issue rather than a Saints issue.

I bet they have gone with shadow stripe shorts as well. It has a Prostar circa 1992 look. Come back adidas all is forgiven.

Don't encourage them.

I think we have to accept that Morgan & Lovren will be off. That will have to be the end of the outward business for this window. Integrating 5 new players into the squad will be hard enough but anymore will be extremely difficult. I'd imagine we will go with quite a small squad for the first half of the season (replacing the sold players like for like) & add to it as required in January/next summer. Our often lauded scouting system will certainly be put to the test over the next couple of months. It's never boring being a Saints fan!

I'd imagine Les & Ralph are arguing over who's going to do the interview.

LOL

I've heard that the away kit is navy. Anyone else heard similar?

Draw written all over this 1-1

Gutted about boxing day, that is a crap trip by car.

I see we "welcome" Harry back to St Mary's & visit MP at his new home on consecutive weeks.

Oh Ronald Koeman you are the love of my life Oh Ronald Koeman I'd let you **** my wife Oh Ronald Koeman I want ginger hair too oooh

Aren't we home to Dortmund at some point?

I hope it's Tuchel. I will be surprised if he hasn't been interviewed.

Just wait until Chris Hughton is announced as manager they'll all come flooding back.

I think you are spot on, I think the issue is that Shaw & Lallana haven't submitted official transfer requests as yet (as far as we know) It will be of benefit to saints if they do as they are bound to have clauses in their contracts entitling them to significant percentages of any transfer fees agreed if they haven't requested to leave. I think it is the right time for Lallana to leave, as much as I'd us to keep him. I don't think it will do Shaw any harm to stay another year but we need a manager to pursued him of that fact.

In reality though it is the players who decide. Once the transfer requests are in that will be that. I do have faith that we will receive the correct fees though, and that we will re-invest substantially. . There were times in the past when this wasn't the case. That is what I took from the interview yesterday.

I think the time is right for Lallana to leave (as much as I hate to admit it) he is approaching his peak years both in performance terms & earning potential. It's now or never for him. I think that he is as good as gone. The stumbling block is this 25% entitlement that Bournemouth have. £20M is a fair offer but not enough for us to sell if we are only receiving £15M. A club who can offer cash plus player(s) may be preferable from our point of view. Shaw is more difficult as it is his potential value that has to be judged as much as his current worth. Plus I'm not sure if he is mature enough to deal with all the expectation & fame etc that comes with playing for Man U. If he was my son I would tell him to stay put for another season and look at the options next year. Gut feeling is that they will both leave as well as Morgan.

Agree brilliant summary.

If they have agreed terms with Spurs & given MP permission to speak to them I think they should announce this. I can understand them not commenting on speculation or even offers received for players but in matters of fact, particularly when the story is all over the media I think they need to comment in some way.

Tuchel would be a great choice, he has done a great job at Mainz producing results, playing good football & on a budget. The Leverkusen job is no longer available so I think he would be gettable. http://www.dw.de/rule-breaker-tuchel-leads-mainz-into-a-league-of-their-own/a-17503661

I've heard that we have been negotiating with Under Armour (about 6 weeks ago), any one else heard the same?

I like it. Plus it is now part of our tradition. The earlier club badges very rarely appeared on match shirts only blazers.
