Quality result. On a high for Saturday....

Ok well: - I have seen his forecasts for the business. So far he has missed them all - I was at the back of a big presentation he was due to give to some retailers. A golden chance, but he bottled out of it at the last minute - I ordered a couple of items, but the delivery has been very slow and went 2 doors down from me - When I did get them, they were, well, OK quality but no where near as good as the cost suggested - I asked for a refund but apparently I have to pay whether the shirts are good, bad or indifferent Sorry

Have you ever taken a bird or your Missus or both to watch Saints?
Bucks Saint replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
First long term missus came along with me in the early 90's and was completely hooked. Even when I could not make it, she would go along without me. Did away games, midweek trips to Utd and so on. She cleared off with someone else eventually. The next was almost as hooked, though stopped short of attending without me. We married and still every home game and about 5/6 away per season. Then she too cleared off with someone else and since the divorce, to make it worse, she has become a Chelsea fan, after I used to get hospitality there through the former CEO (though I never once cheered Chelsea on, no matter who they were playing) The current missus has no interest at all. Zilch. Just to see what it was like, she asked to come to our home game against Bristol City a couple of seasons ago, when we had gone a year without defeat at home. We lost. She hates football and I am happier than I have been in a long time -
While much of what you say makes perfect sense, the OP asked about clubs. It is quite possible to hate a club without hating every one of the individuals that follow it

Spurs (though gradually improving); Reading (may change now they back in the less-plastic land); Derby, Derby and Derby
-
Your view re Villa needs updating. I guess you did not follow what their fans did last season

Joy - promotion and promotion, and getting to Cardiff 2003. Beating Coventry away 1999, first time we had won the opening game for about 9 seasons Sadness - 2005 obviously, but losing the final in 2003 and the Derby play off are both up there. Pahars farwell, I must admit Amusement - Pompey away, Alan Knight testimonial, 1994. Thrashing them, while Dave Beasant played in midfield in full keeper kit including gloves and they had 12 on the pitch

Fox is better than him, so i would say 3

LOL at QPR continuing to run their club into the ground financially!!! Turning down our £15m enquiry in favour of a £2m loan deal with maybe £6m more to come FFS
-
I knew this would happen
-
Provided we sign a striker, then yes please. Seen nothing from him yet to rate him as 85th best etc. longer term hopefully

This. Shipped out on loan, like Rasiak, when they did not want to, leaving us vastly struggling for goals. All due to wage and appearance costs in hindsight of course. While I agree that some of his performances were very average, I dont buy that he did not care. The crucial goal against the Blades has been mentioned. I would also point to his celebrations, having recently been subbed, when Lallana scored his first senior goal the game before at WBA away.
-
Probably wages are an issue with Bent. Great player, cracking record but likely on big bucks
-
Turned down Newcastle for QPR when they were in turmoil, for a few extra £££. Er, no thanks
-
Has anyone on here actually touched him? That would prove it for me

Ranking Premier League Strikers on Their Transfer Fee-to-Goal Ratio
Bucks Saint replied to dellboypete's topic in The Saints
3 seasons after he retired. He had no longer been a guaranteed starter for at least 2 years before that (sub in THAT game at the Dell). Oh, and the first year after he retired was 2002-03, which went ok. We did not go down because MLT retired -

Very true, but we thought we would be well and truly doomed post MLT, and of course we managed just fine -
Saints near the bottom for players signed, any cause to panic?
Bucks Saint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Dont be silly now, its the team with the most shots as you well know -
Or give him a permanent contract at all

Cracking goal at Reading away, in the Championship, when we were down to 10 men. Tried hard but never really up to it though, sadly

I think Spurs gave up on Damiao some time ago. They certaintly seem to have tried for long enough, but looks like they have firmly gone elsewhere
