Yep defence is defo where we have the weakness / need to improve at the moment

Yeah spot on. He was flukey in the extreme to outscore every other english player in the Prem last year. Tons of taps in, deflections and penalties. Never because he is a great player, in a team that is not full of multi million internationals and finished in the bottom half. Good grief

Can we accommodate SRL & Osvaldo in the same team?
Bucks Saint replied to doggface's topic in The Saints
Too early to say but my guess so far is yes, of course we can. SRL to play behind. Sorted -

Pitcher and Piano on Cornhill, 2 mins from Bank tube, will be showing on big screen. Its 2 doors from my humble offices but I am not there today sadly -

Reading fans only turn up when there is top class opposition to watch

Could be a great opportunity to fill his boots (v Modolva). Assume Sturridge will be back for the much trickier game next week

Unless there is clear warning online re this, or its buried in the Terms and Conditions (unlikely), then they are in breach of contract. The tickets were on sale to season ticket holders, you booked one and were asked to pay the price, which I assume you did by credit card, and then it said "order complete", or similar. Thats it, contract complete, they owe you the promised ticket. The phone call is a post-contract attempt to apply new terms, so they are relying on your voluntary compliance. What a farce

As I posted previously, I had to agree with Patrick Barclay in the Standard, the Monday after the first weekend. He hailed the performances of Sturridge, Barkely (Everton), and Luke Shaw for us, and then concluded: "Now would someone please take me, just one more time, through the argument about young English players being stifled by the polygot Premier League?" If they are good enough at the age of 17-20, they will play, even if they have to move clubs occasionally, as Sturridge did. The issue is with the standard of kids coaching, the continuing obsession with physique/ fitness, over ability and ball skills (hence young kids playing on full size pitches) and the lack of investment by the FA

Stated that he needs to be playing [first team football - his main reason for joining us in the first place] well for Saints, to have a chance. How many first team starts might he get at Arsenal , and who would they drop??

A serious transfer window review thread...

Very happy with the outcome overall, would have been better with a Puncheon replacement or some pace, but thats being greedy. -
Mayuka Going To Sochaux on Loan (Confirmed)

We need pace which produces real threat and end product. We have the same amount without him -

Carberry left out from England team again. Not available to HCC but unused in two England matches when he is in better form than any of those picked. Gee thanks
-
Ditto, hope it goes very well there. Decent manager too, should be a good combo

what are you offering as your guarantee?

"Is our stadium still too small now to cover increased revenue?" "do we need to....increase seating....or is the ground too small now" Unfailable logic which is too much for me

2 out 3 for me. MLT should have scored the follow up, but too surprised to see it saved! Missed the ZDS semi, made the final, gutted though

Perhaps its only a matter of time before we follow the model at Lords and re-brand all food outlets as Jamie Oliver. The Burritos were very nice and very substantial, but so they flaming should be for £8.50. In the meantime, perhaps we could just maintain the previous standards, rather than let them drop
