Get in the new STEEEEEEVE
-
I may well be able to help if you need only 1 adult ticket. My other ST is an under 17. Let me know as and when you identify matches, on the whole I dont usually go to many Northern games unless I can combine with my occasional work trips to Leeds or Manchester. cheers

Name fits the "oh Christian Dailly..." song too.

Now you mention it, queueing time at the toilets in the away end should be added to the mix.

When big businesses can now gain a huge insight into our habits through data (from spending, website clicks, loyalty cards etc) which can drill right down into which products we buy at certain times in the week, depending on the weather etc, then it really is time for SFC to up its game. Away tickets should go to people with the highest overall loyalty score calculated by a data analysis system from the following factors: - home and away games attended on average per season since 1992 - kick off times for games attended (higher scores for evenings / lunchtimes) - distance travelled for all home and away games - weather conditions and average temperature per away game attended - ticket price paid; comparison to cost of living index in area of home postcode - travel problems encountered on the way home on the dates of all away matches - price of beer in the nearest pub to the away ground - quality of pies / hot dogs at away venues - amount spent on SFC merchandise per season - bonus score for number of away games attended when Saints lost; reduced points for draws and nil for wins (on this one alone, I personally will be near the top of the list for sure) Now that would be fair

Has there been a better team to support over the last 5 years?
Bucks Saint replied to lickierambert's topic in The Saints
No. Nor was I less patient. Just missed the absolute guarantee that people like you ("Brave") dont have to suffer humiliation and disgust of us not being a Prem side. I must be very odd because, having accepted where we were, and why, I enjoyed the majority of the performances, finishing 2nd, being promoted, that sort of thing. -

I must have been away when we secured a divine right to be a Premier League side. Now I know why attendances - still very good by most L1 standards - fell by 30%. I am glad you and the others can now enjoy following saints again and dont have to suffer the humiliation and disgust -

Yeah, I really struggled to enjoy beating Oldham away (midweek, in sub zero climate) 6-0, with six different scorers, all from open play, because we used to do that all the time and it was totally expected. And as for those two late goals to beat Brighton 2-1 at their place, to be the first team to win there all season, frankly I was seriously hacked off we had not scored ten -
Dont worry too much, one defeat and it will be only an hour before things are very well balanced all by themselves, as we will have a load of threads on how likely it is we might avoid relegation, and which teams (if any) are worse than us
-
Is that the 3rd round when we thrashed Spurs 4-0, while we were up to 4th in the league? And when we lost to Arsenal 1-0 when Arsenal were a top team actually winning trophies? Ok we did not have the squad to push hard on both fronts in the end, and focused on the cup, but I would happily take an 8th place finish, cup final appearance and european qualification again, and Strachan did that with a squad of fairly decent players but without the huge investment now taking place.

Puncheon to Palace - Official (Season Loan)
Bucks Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If this is true, in some ways its a very good sign - i.e. that someone who contributed as much as Puncheon has done, including last season (even if he was not always consistent) is now deemed surplus and we can spare him because we have moved onwards and upwards. Good luck Punch if so -
It starts much earlier on, with the real youngsters, the standard of coaching, the insistence on kids playing on full size pitches (fitness and physical development over skills) and so on. When they reach 17-20, if they are good enough, they will play no matter how many foreigners there are, even if occasionally a move to another club is needed (Sturridge)

Are the current Saints the best looking football team ever?
Bucks Saint replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Throwing you off the scent. You watch her take a much keener interest in our "football" this season
