That said, I do feel the referring witnessed is some of the worst I've seen in living memory. I'm still trying to work out how on earth the second penalty was in any way the right call.

I totally feel your pain, especially about VAR, which I utterly detest. Ultimately, there are things we can can and can't control. At the current time, the things we can control (manager, signings, tactics, even our pitch and kit) are being monumentally messed up, which has left us in the terrible state we are in. Relegation will certainly level the things we can't control up (VAR, level playing fields etc.) but you have to question if things will get any better in terms of results and enjoying games with the current regime in charge. Sad times.

Throw in that abysmal kit and the faded pink seats and it’s a hell of a look isn’t it.

It’s funny really (not in a good way), but we’ve scored one more and let in one less than Forest, yet they are seven points better off than us. We’ve struggled to score, struggled to keep clean sheets, but crucially, also struggled to do the business when it really mattered (losing 1-0 to practically all our relegation rivals). That’s why we’re going down sadly.

I don't think anyone would be surprised if that happened. Big question though is whether the new signings and sacking of Jones will have a seismic impact. Initial signs are yes, but very hard to say if it will last.

I still think we're down, but the Chelsea result was huge as it practically would have been a formality otherwise. A point against Leeds wouldn't be terrible, especially if it was followed up with a win against Leicester. It's a slim chance at best, but we just may pull ourselves out of this mess.
