Oh yeah.... I hope he gets a bit longer. Just seems they have asked the question, and we have stuck with the policy of not talking. 1 + 1 = 4 me thinks.

Stopped work on the training ground, struggling in the premier league... Could be the club up for sale. Could be about a new manager. If it is about a new manager and th echo have names then I believe the echo is right. If it is just Adkins is going to be sacked, then rubbish. I await a story, not just guesswork and hear say.

The chairman will have to make the choice, stick with him and see if we get the points we should in November, or get someone else in and give the a great chance of getting off to a flyer. I think he will be given to the end of November and hoping that we turn the corner, if not, I fear you could be right and gone in December.

You just get these feelings sometimes. I was going to the Wigan game, but got rid of the tickets. Could have gone, but daughter was ill so thought I better get home. During the build up I was in the megastore and just thought, this is not going to be a good game or result. I jumped in the car after passing the tickets on, and went home. I had a great feeling about the Vila game, but took until the second half! These feelings are not always right though!

Really would take this! Clean sheet and a great point!

MOTD failure to see push on Fonte - Bias??
Dr Who? replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
All the above is lack of experience in the premier league. Not knowing the pace, and being caught short. Panicking when caught out of position, because of the movement off of the ball by premier league forwards. Mis-timed challenges due to the pace and the quickness of the premier league player. Just a few of how lack of experience in the premier league has caught us out at the back. IMO. -

I have to say at the start of the season, I thought we were no worse than a newly promoted Norwich side, who did so well. Very similar team on paper. I did still want to see at least 1 centre back to replace Fonte, and a ball winning midfielder, and both with experience. I think many fans have been blinded by how well, Norwich and Swansea did last season, and I thought we would be ok if we did not make experienced signings, but mid table to 12/13 with the signings. We are terrible away, and need to take the points that are on offer in November! At the end of November we will have a clearer picture of where we stand. I do not understand why we are not loaning anyone! -

You tend to need experience at the back in the premier league more than anything. Also a ball winning central midfielder. Last season saw newly promoted premier league teams get away with it somehow, but not this season, or seasons before. Need to loan in at least one centre back and a midfielder that can get stuck in, we look so lightweight. Either this or they need to learn very very quickly. -

100% handball, then just to make sure he tried to pull the hair of one player, and mug another. Looks like we are trying to give free kicks and penalties away, but I think it is just bad defending and inexperience! Bets on for over 100 goals conceded. Anyone spotted any of our back 4 in the bookies? -
Lambert cannot be fully fit, if he was, he would be playing. Or there is something up between him and NA. If you think about it, the team spirit has always been great, but we have been winning for the last 3 seasons, so much easier to have a great team spirit. When you are losing every week..... Not so much fun, people start pointing the finger.

Still think we need to have more points than games played come the end of November, and call it blind faith if you like, but I think we will have. Big month is November......

Ok there is something that has peed Matty off, but he cannot say. Do you not think that he now just gets asked this question over and over again, and he just says the same basic answer. Football is strange as these things never seem to come out. For example WGS had a huge problem with Lowe, but never ever said what it was, but it did mean he left the club. -

We are Southampton we will build when we want! -
We have not midfield ball winner. We need to get stuck in more, and one of the reasons we have let in 20. Lets stay up rather than being top of the fair play.
-
Also I wonder what will happen to all the referee kits, as they are all umbro. Will probably change to a standard Nike kit then, as it is all part of the English set up. Would prefer Adidas though.
-
How about we have our own Southampton brand? I'll get my coat!

Todays winners are below, so get your money on these losing!! Crawley Sheff Utd Swindon Tranmere Fleetwood Gillingham Luton Wrexham Tamworth Queens Park £6 bet with a return of £840.00 Long shot bet Notts Co Stevenage Cheltenham Rochdale Burton Alfreton Kidderminster £4.00 with a return of £1,400.00 Yeah I will not hold my breath!!
-
All we need to do is keep just above the point per game and we will be fine. At the moment I expected 7 points.

New kit thread, let's get the designs going then, for our premier league Nike shirt. I have the all red top and it is good, and I like it, but it is not Saints. Look at the badge, it has a red and white stripy scarf on it. I like new kits, and looking forward to the stripes coming back!

My first game was a 0-4 defeat to Everton, and my wife was a 0-2 defeat to Chelsea! Saying this the first home game after me, my wife, oldest daughter, youngest daughter, and son were born we won them all. Random facts, but true, and so very off topic. I have never felt so at ease being a Saints fan, and I feel positive even after a shaky start, but I have seen worse starts than this when we were an 'established' top flight club, and I am only 37! I remember a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of newly promoted Charlton for one! Eek!

I have a 9 month old boy, and I am expecting a 6-3 win in the champions league in 3/4 years time. I am sure people will still be moaning on here, if this did happen, as we let in 3!!

Villa was brilliant, my 4 year olds first game, new shirt for her, with her nickname on the back. Photo in front of my brick, the same as my now 10 year old 5/6 years ago. 4-1 win, with goals flooding in, and taking the pee out of them in the second half. Pizza on the way home. The only game I have been to this season! Also my daughter had the number 4 printed on her back! Great day in more ways than one! My other daughters first game we won 5-2 with a sending off, and a penalty thrown in. We also went 1 down in that game!

On loan of course
