I think Archer will be the striker we need with the beast that is Big Ben. Give them a bit longer training together and I think they will be the answer with Armstrong already showing an understanding with Ben. What we need is a keeper, and another 5/6 midfielders for a laugh!

Only to throw a 2 nil lead in the last minute 2-2, with the equaliser coming in the 95th minute. He is more used to that!

That’s how we are going to play. Regroup and go again from the back. Repeat, waiting for the opening. We had a few chances and should have won that game. 37 left to go and after that I am feeling positive. Ask me again this time next week and you may get a different answer.

To be honest that was much better than I possibly could have imagined us playing. Some great build up play but just lack the cutting edge. I am hopeful that Archer will come good once he has been training with us. There were far more positives than negatives out on that pitch today. I am all for us playing football, but NOT in our own box, but I know this is not going to change , so we will grit the teeth and just hope it does not hurt us that often. I did say before the game that we would concede at least in that way today, but I predicted a 4-0. I think there are so many positives after watching that today, but know it is a long hard season and the next game could be completely different. I remember beating Chelsea at home in the relegation season and thinking we looked really good and played some really good stuff. Seem to remember going to Wolves thinking we were on the brink of something really good at the club, only to be completely garbage at that game. I will stick by RM and on today alone, it looks promising, but I will say it now, IF we do go down, we keep RM at all costs.

Who was the last signing that genuinely got you excited?

This season is the biggest overhaul ever. I have no idea how things are going to pan out, but cannot see it being as successful as last season unfortunately.
-
I like it but doubt I will buy it, as it is stupid money and I need a waterproof running jacket and some new trail shoes. 👞

I like it and if it was not £60 I would have purchased one for the gym and running. The top that is, not the full kit. I think they should have broken the colour up a little with the shorts and socks being maybe not pink as well.

Rhubarb & Custard!

Scotland?

I see us on par with most of the clubs outside of the top 6. We should be on a much better footing than Bournemouth and Ipswich and maybe Fulham and Brentford. I think it is all down to the scouting, and a bit of luck as well as the manager. There will also be owners that will spend above what they should in all hope of staying in the premier league. With some shrewd purchases and a little bit of good management and the players stepping up, we might just about stay in the league, if not we have another season in the Championship. It’s not too shabby!

Terrible. When do we get to slate the 3rd kit?
-
Waited all this time for that. Not that I will buy it for myself, but will for the boy. I will only get training tops, and they are not up to much.
-
Is the kit out yet? Or is this the event on Wednesday or whenever it is?
-
If this is helping, which of course it is, then all is good. I don’t think my son has a problem or sees pink as a girls colour, but I know a lot of people do, especially around football.

2,5,7 for me.

Don’t think so the Inter Miami pink top is a massive seller, and there is a lot less stigma attached to pink and boys/men wearing the colour. It’s just a colour. I think because of this transformation in attitudes it is seen as a new colour and more appealing because it is still seen as slightly different and even on the edge, when really it is just a colour. Kids are wearing pink kits and the rise of pink footy boots is massive If they get it right I would buy it, I tried to buy the keepers pint top for the gym last season, but it went out of stock after coming in late, and never came back.

Why do we seem to be one, if not the last team to release our kits?

This is a great outcome as me and my wife work in the public sector. I only joined the NHS in 2020 and all I have heard is that things are better in the public sector under a Labour government. My wife is a secondary teacher and 2010 she had only been teaching for 2 years, so never experienced much under a Labour government. But things at the NHS and education have never been as bad as they are now, and hearing the story’s from people that have been in the public sector for 20/25 years, that we have played down do ring true. Ok it’s never going to perfect but Labour will support the public sector more than the Tory’s ever will. They are in now by whatever means, and have a chance to make a difference. But you will never ever please everyone or anyone 100%

A lot of Tory voters just do not turn out rather than voting for anyone else. You will notice this pretty much every time Labour do not get in. This with reform taking votes from the Tories and the fact that the country has been run so badly and many many many broken promises. Labour did not have to do to much. Saying this they need to hit the ground running, it’s going to be interesting for sure.

I honestly think Sunak has call an election in the summer rather than October knowing he will be out of number 10 on Friday and right at the start of pre-season, and will launch a takeover bid for Southampton Football Club. I know he has always been a fan and that has never been a secret but he loves to mention us as often as he can. Even said if he got a tattoo it would be the Saints badge. I maybe wide of the mark, but if his wife is in as well it would be a game changer, stand aside Craig David and Will from Coldplay.

Not quite that straight forward unfortunately as you well know. I’m not sure what the Puma cut will be. I remember we made our own kit at one stage to pass the savings on to the supporters or to make sure more. I do not feel that bad buying expensive kit as it is another way of supporting and getting money in the coffers, no matter how small it will be of a contribution. I do wish we knew the cut that went to Puma and what goes to the club though.

Another 30 minutes to add to the inevitable, if not this game, the next, semi or the final.
