I’ve ended up signing up to the Athletic because I’m fed up of going for a shit and having nothing to read due to this site never loading. My shits are pretty scheduled in my routine and the site seems to always go down around the times of 10:30 and 18:30.

From an away game perspective - We will all be definitely missing a few good ones at the start, Palace obviously, most likely Villa & Chelsea as well in October. Dont give a fuck about missing Burnley or Wolves. If we can get somehow get away fans back in full for December then 3 good trips to Brighton Arsenal & Fulham on boxing day. Last time we had Fulham on Boxing day ( 1-1 Lambert late pen) there was a tube strike and I had to get buses there and back from North London - was quicker for fans to get there on the train from Southampton. Feb is a shocker for away games - United, Newcastle & Everton in one month. Spurs end of March is good likewise with West ham last game of the season. Even Liverpool 2nd last away game looks okay if they manage to wrap the title up before then and play half drunk like they did this tail end of the season.

Unpopular opinion here but I think Spurs have got a bargain for 15M + ‘bonuses’. Some people on here are down playing his ability because he wanted to leave. Its similar to a situation a found myself in a few years ago. Allowed a relationship to end because I couldn’t really be arsed to convince her it could work. Was blagging to my pals she weren’t all that etc. Wasn’t offered any money or RWB in exchange for her but It turned out finding a decent replacement was harder than I thought. She ending up fucking some Banking guy who had a David Lloyd’s membership and went on a holiday to Dubai whilst I got lumbered with Hackney’s equivalent of Oriol Romeu every 3 months or so.

I expect a very different preseason this year. I assume testing / the bubble will resume once preseason starts. I think the days of playing amateur /semi pro clubs are long gone and we will play only professional teams that we can trust are following the protocol etc. Furthermore I think this will have a knock on effect with our youth players who will have to be selected before preseason and kept in the bubble. In previous years we have fielded U23 sides and mix match squads usually playing a day apart from each other - I dont think this will be possible anymore and will have to be strict on who's in the senior squad for preseason. Logistically its a head spinner and I am sure there are a million different criteria that we are unaware of.

I was standing on a platform at Peterborough station waiting for a train back to Finsbury park after we beat them 3-1. It was quite late so there was only a few people on the Platform - one of them was Jack Cork. I was wearing colours (In my teens) so it was pretty obvious I was a Saints fan. We both looked at each other for a second. I walked over to talk to him and he turned his back to me and walked further up the platform.

Spot on here, we should be doing everything to keep him as we will not be able to replace him with our budget in the future Covid market. How much do we reckon has been offered to him wages wise? IMO he should be a top earner in the team. If hes been offered that and rejected then there is not much more we can do.

The season we went down from the Champ, Saints got a rare win away at a Reading who were unbeaten at home. Bradley Wright Phillips bossed the pitch and scored two good goals but then was useless forever after.
