  1. 1 Hour 16 mins in if anyone wants to listen
  2. Always hope for a London away draw in the cup but this was definitely the worst possible one after going to the Bridge 3 weeks earlier. Brentford would of been the preferred choice. I’m still slightly optimistic, we always seem to give a good account for ourselves in the away cup games in London. The 3-2 loss at Spurs a few years ago springs to mind as a great game/evening but in recent years we’ve knocked out arsenal at the Emirates a couple times and always seem to get Fulham at the cottage and beat them. Chelsea will offer us the entire end behind the goal for this, 5k I think? Whether we will take the full allocation after taking 3k up there 3 weeks earlier is questionable, another Ldn trip that weekend aswell with Watford away may deter some fans.
  3. Is there a designated away pub for this one?
  4. So do we need to provide proof of a negative test /double vaccination or not then? Seeing conflicting things, does it only apply to Everton fans?
  5. You’d expect people would be used to our best players leaving, more so the ones who gain a special status among fans. I still have trust issues from the Lallana transfer. If Ings stayed and did another few years on a new contract he could of become a club legend. He didn’t, oh well. I will still remember his time here fondly and should be received well on his return to St Mary’s. His two goals and subsequent knee slide in front of the Fratton End is an iconic saints moment, possibly one of the best we’ve had in a long time.
  6. Anyone know roughly how many tickets are left on sale for Everton?
  7. Ings has just been done for speeding at 3am, the night we lost 9-0 to United.
  8. A Spurs mate who knows people at the club - not particularly reliable but doesn't look like we have much else to speculate on at the moment
  9. Apparently we are about to sign Ryan Sessegnon on loan from Spurs.
  10. My favourite Angus Gunn related memory was at Chelsea away when a small section of fans tried to start a Angus Gunn inspired Baby Shark chant. Some nutcase the complete other side of the away end was furious at this and went on a screaming tirade of how embarrassing it was and how we will never be respected as a fan base with supporters such as those.....
  11. Was the clear MOTM in the Swansea game and we could of easily lost without him. Dread to think what the last few years would of been like if we had gone downso at least there is something to take out from his time here at Saints.
  12. He was instrumental in everything Southampton did last Tuesday against Crystal Palace. Danny Ings and Che Adams may have got the goals that night but it is Ward-Prowse who makes my team. The Saints demolished the Eagles and then did the same to Fulham a few days later, with Adams, Nathan Tella and Theo Walcott scoring this time, and Ward-Prowse getting an assist. Ward-Prowse, in my opinion, has been Southampton's player of the season. They will do well to keep him. He's a Liverpool player if ever I saw one.
  13. We must be the only team in Prem history to consistently rotate keepers every game.
  14. Biggest game in years IMO - Swansea away & the cup final against United are the only games that can be considered more important than this one since we’ve been promoted back to the Prem. Still haunted by the Chelsea Semi - how the fuck did we not even sell out?!? I think we all knew it was a lost cause that day. Today feels different despite our shit 2021 form. Ralph will have them pumped up for this. Also wondering if we will see Ralph in a suit for the first time?
  15. Interesting to see what they define as local area - I assuming it will be local residents to Wembley so the HA postcode. Both us & Leicester have decent sized London supporters clubs so it would be nice if we could get a small allocation at least. Probably being a bit hopeful there... London Saints seem to have a good relationship with the club so I am hoping someone high up at Saints is trying to negotiate some tickets for us!
  16. How would all you southerners feel if they implemented this? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-9364339/Tickets-FA-Cup-final-Wembley-restricted-local-spectators.html
  17. JWP to win it in the 90th Beckham style with a 35 yard free kick. Big Fras to also complete his season 7 redemption arc making 22 saves and instantly earning himself another 6 year contract.
  18. I have been racking my brain trying to think of previous times we have come from 2-0 down to win in an away game but cant think of any besides from that Preston game, can anyone else?
  19. Mcgoldrick is a Legend. His 90th min winner away at Preston after being 2-0 down at HT is one of my fondest memories following Saints.
  20. Anyone know the last player we signed directly from Arsenal?
  21. Am I right in thinking that Rickie Lamberts only own goal game against Leicester when they did the double over us in the Championship promotion season? Anyway I am sure the commentators will mention it....
  22. What Hockey are we talking about? Ice Hockey spit frequently onto the rink and it is allowed within rules. But yes I get your point. Some sports it is not practical to allow spitting. Obviously Basketball players are not allowed to spit onto the court as its wooden and would linger/make someone slip. It is allowed in Rugby however and they spit just as much as footballers do. On a grass pitch I assume most of the salvia is absorbed by the grass/soil?
  23. A) Take it you don't play much football... I believe its a combination of exercise creating extra protein in the salvia alongside the consistent shouting making the mouth dryer. This then creates a thicker salvia than usual and thus is unpleasant/more difficult to swallow. B) How do you intend to regulate spitting on a football pitch? Do we have VAR cameras on every player to monitor their spitting activity? What happens when Pogba gets a 2nd yellow for spitting but there was 22 previous occasions of spitting in that game which did not get picked up? We could have all the players use some some sort of anti spitting muzzle.
  24. Pretty sure Lallana & Crouch were covering a game on BT a few months ago. I remember thinking Lallana looked like a right idiot wearing some ridiculous turtle neck & blazer combo.
