After hearing him on 5 Live last night saying how settled he is and how he loves it here, I am confident he will be here until the end of next season at least.
-
Shame about Ashton, fully fit he is without doubt England quality. We should of signed him when he was at Crewe but as soon as it was metioned in the press, Lowe quickly denied it. Tosser.
-
Bale is the best I've seen at Saints at his age. At times during the play-off season he was our best defender, midfielder and attacker at the same time. Give him a run of games in the Prem and he will do very well instead of throwing him in at the deep end every now and again (like today).

In the words of Alan Partridge, "lovely stuff." Must aim for play offs now, full credit to Pards and his coaching staff.

Stupid bint.

Adam Le Fondre at Rotherham looks exciting, will be interesting to see how he does at St Mary's in the cup if they beat Luton. -
Bring back Paul Hart. He was brilliant.

I'm not sure Whitbread has even been playing for Millwall? Someone can correct me if he has. Fully fit, he is one of the best defenders outside the Prem and I believe he handed in a transfer request in the summer after turning down a new contract. If he's a no-go, Elliot Ward would be very handy. Whoever we go for, centre half is a priority.
-
If we can find the centre half equivalent of Lambert in January, play-offs will be a real possibility. Money very well spent.
-
The lino's are so poor in this league, he's bound to get one wrong eventually. Hopefully Papa sticks that one away!

I don't think we can under estimate what Lambert offers us. He really is the key as everything goes through him and in my opinion it wasn't a coincedence that we didn't get going against Brighton when he was suffering from flu (of course our back 4 letting the ball bounce every time they hit it forward didn't help). I've been impressed with Connolly but think we're better off playing Rickie as the target with the 2 wide men playing off him. The only thing he lacks is a turn of pace but if he had that he wouldn't be playing fur us and would be at a club in the Prem, even so, we can get away with him not having much pace as 2 wide lads provide it. When it clicks, the front 3 are close to unplayable.

I thought he said VTFC? Either way, I don't give a ****. -
You really haven't got a clue. Comparing Burley to Pardew is laughable.

Lloyd James delivers a dangerous corner? ****inghell

Saints v Brighton,1st half & halftime chat....

Back four is all over the place, lucky to be only 1 behind after defending like that. -
He is a **** of the highest order. The way he smirked all the way through that interview on Sky when we went into administration will live with me for a long time. Tos5er.

lol @ Valuev having a sh*t German indie band playing live at his entrance. Come on Dave, do us proud!
-
We concede but I am suprisingly calm, confident we will hold out. COYR

He will be a decent striker. Not a future England international but good enough to have a decent career. However, if he is not confident enough to make a move to Tourquay where he already knows 2 of the lads there then he never will be.

Should of won, had so many chances but alot of things didn't fall for us whereas in recent weeks the breaks have gone our way. Trotman and Hammond (probably carrying a knock) were below par. Out of the 64 corners we had, James floated 63 of them harmlessly towards the penalty spot. I would get Harding to take them and whip them in with his left peg. Lambert's goals were different class, the second one wouldn't look out of place in the Prem. Connolly came on and made a big difference, what he doesn't have in pace he more than makes up for with his touch and fantastic movement. It will be a frightening partnership when they get a run of games together. Fantastic support and we're obviously moving in the right direction.

Leaving shortly, the most I have looked forward to an away game for a long time. Probably since the Pride Park play-off game. COYR!!!

Players that shouldn't have left Saints.....

Kachloul - Le Tiss said in his book he was offered a contract to quite easily become our highest paid player at the time on 14k a week, Villa then offered him 28k so its quite obvious why he left. -
Reading are Saints last year. No money, young squad, pretty football with no end product and an inexperienced manager.
-
If you can't score against Hull, it means you're going down. Lower end Championship size club back to where they belong.
