  1. It's saying bugger off without offending the bloke, harming his reputation, or seeming to offend the bloke or harm his reptutation. Plus it puts a huge wad of cash in his pocket, I've no doubt, so he doesn't have to work again unless he wants to. Then off he goes to the team that lose their manager to Inter Milan. That's two european managers who have just about presided over the averaging of Liverpool, into a top 8 to 10 team, instead of a top 2 to top 4 team. He may have won the Champions League with them, but that's actually not what Liverpool are about. They want domestic domination, first and foremost. Winning the European Cup is actually a secondary priority. What they need is a huge amount of money and a modern day Bill Shankly or Bob Paisley. Unfortunately, the only one around is in his twilight managerial years at Man U. WGS..?
  2. He's a cheeky bugger, that chrisobee.
  3. WOW..! In a sense, it allows the person, who can understand concepts and detail, but can't grasp the mathematics, to stay in there with the mathematician. It means anyone with sufficient imagination could realistically think through an idea, perhaps to its end, rather than stopping at the first mathematical, financial, projective hurdle. I like it a lot. Wish it had been around about 40 years ago, when I knew Mathematics wasn't going to be my thing. Considering this is as BAD as it will get, information wise, it's an excellent start. It's being bookmarked as soon as I post this. BTW, the intro is well worth looking at. Thank you mate, for bringing that to my attention.
  4. Can I remind people that this is the Lounge. If you want to joke about a serious act, I'll happily move this to TMS.
  5. Enter A Pet..?
  6. Old news. In the meantime, Liebherr has lost all his money and hasn't a pot to p!ss in. You read it here first.
  7. There's a listener who needs time away from a radio.
  8. It's exaggerated mockney text. Pop it into Google Translate to hear it. Nice one.
  9. If you're able to get the vinyl record to me, SJ, I can transfer that record to MP3 for you. If you know anyone on here who can PM me, pop your details along and I'll respond.
  10. Perhaps it's a load of back slapping voters. It also possibly shows that Hodgson still isn't fully recognised for his quality, in his own country. However, I think if Fulham had won the Europa Cup, 'Arry would have been nowhere near him.
  11. Here you go. This is about the level of credibility that people on here use to debunk something, so I'll use the same level. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2524301/Southampton-FC-saved-by-Swiss-businessman-Markus-Liebherr.html And here's a bit from one slightly more respected paper. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/swiss-billionaire-rescues-saints-1737773.html Remember though, they are just newspapers, so you can take it all with a pinch of salt, if you like. About the same measure of condiment as the rumour you believed saying ML wasn't a billionaire.
  12. Boot [as in the film title]
  13. No. Save. No, I don't mean that. Of course, having no installment plan is going to affect certain season ticket holders. I expect the Chairman to hear the calls and make some necessary arrangements eventually. It's the bleating from fans, of every tiny point that isn't a solid positive, that gets me.
  14. Stoneware
  15. When will people get their bloody rumours right..? He is NOT that Liebherr. He is part of the Liebherr family that owns THAT company, but HE has NO connection with it. He is the owner of the MALI group of companies. F*** me, when will some people collect a few brain cells together, long enough to get them to capture a fact and remember it..? Off the soapbox. No offence, an' all.
  16. Spoilt by the music.
  17. I'm not worried in the slightest by SFC, and I can't see any reason why anyone else should be. There is one thing that does worry me though. It's the comments from fans who should know better who, after a mere 12 months, are already finding major fault with the new management. You don't deserve a professional football club.
  18. Schumacher still doesn't see he did anything wrong, after all these years. He knows he committed a foul, even though incredibly, the decision went his way. He just thinks what he did was necessary. This was the first time the word FIX began to rear its head, in the modern era, as I remember. I wouldn't want to win anything his way.
  19. Haven't seen this in years, and it oozes 60's mock and real history and melts together. Great track too. Can I sense a trace of Beach Boys in there..?
  20. Spaghetti
  21. Looked it up. It's on a LIVE album called Carrott in Notts.
