So, MOG, SS and Alps, basically we prefer being in utter despair, so we can moan about it..? Is that it..? I say it's nice to remember how far we've come, and here's to the next 12 months.

Perhaps not Lockheed, but most certainly Boeing. And not because they would have been made any better either.

I don't want to see any club go out of business, but what I do want is fair treatment for all. At the moment, it is incredibly lopsided.

Yeah, in the North maybe. I love that New Zealand idea that it's a really warm country. There's plenty of NZ that's not so cosy. It's been fecking cold for a long while in the South, I bet. Down in Southland, Fiordland, and parts of Canterbury, it's a damn sight colder than Southampton ever gets. In fact Southampton has a much milder climate than those places. I can remember having to go Dunedin and Invercargill and being bloody cold, even though it was just out of the summer months. It's not all hakas and barbees..! Standing on Oreti Beach [the one where they have the race in The World's Fastest Indian] in the middle of winter, with the wind coming straight off the Antarctic, is not for the faint hearted. Just dabble those toes in the Southern Ocean too. Instant numb foot.

It just shows how much of an impression The Beatles still have on a generation, because as soon as I saw the title, I thought... nothing to do today, to save his life, call his wife in... nothing to say, but what a day, how's your boy been... And I had no real idea the thread was going to be about Sgt Pepper

Popped out to The Cuckoo Inn, yesterday, as The Newport was apparently shut for the day [so I was told]. Nothing extraordinary of note about the pub, although it is rather quaint, as people who know it will testify, but I had a pint of Sign of Spring, which cost £3.00. It's made with nettles and is green..! Bloody nice too.

All that you has said has made sense until you said that. Why on earth get something that will cost more, perform less well, be more restrictive in choice of spec, be harder to upgrade, and costlier to maintain or repair, while being, almost certainly, less reliable..? All those cons for one pro - just because it is portable [oh, and everybody else has one]..?
-
Same here. Apparently not going to happen though.

See what you started Arizona..? Hope you'll be happy with all the extra moving that will be happening from now on.

You're right. It was awful. Actually, it was worse than awful. Awful makes you sit up and take notice. The UK entry was anonymous.

Christ, I must be bored. But you peeps have made me laugh out loud, a fair bit, reading down the thread. I especially snorted and lolled while reading down this update. I know I've read it loads of times, in other threads, but seeing TCWTB nearly made me fall off the chair. It's good to laugh.

It's OK, MOG, nobody is getting at you. At least I'm not.

Well Richard Littlejohn must be mightily thick then. Harriet Harman had the choice of being a politician, earlier in her career/life. She has become known as a politician. The women who became prostitutes almost certainly did it as the very last resort to keep body and soul together. Yes, maybe to feed a drug and alcohol habit. But perhaps also to give them the ability to look after dependants. I don't give a monkey's whether the news was read out in reverential tones or not. Any death is sad, whether it be to a prostitute or to the Queen. I wonder where those women would have been if they'd have had her life chances, and how much of a reverential tone would be used then..? And as StKip says, breathe... this is TMS.

Now you're just trying to confuse people.

...I came across a time lapse film, posted on my VFR bike forum: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d3f_1274841313 I particularly liked the bit where the Shuttle is rotated to the vertical and lifted high into the VAB.

Thank you very much indeed, S-i-P. I needed that information like another hole in my head. This cold country's summer hasn't even officially got underway, and you're informing the year away.

Tbf, we're desperate for new threads. Close season and all. That's why admin are starting them.

Been watching BBC Guitar Heroes for the last half hour or so. Saw Michael Chapman playing a tune called Wellington The Skellington. I remember hearing this once in the 1970's and thinking it was a nice tune, but not something I was into at the time. Hearing it again, after all these years, and it sounds lovely. Found it on good ol'Youtube:

Believe me, I've thought about it many times. If only to stop the headlines: Biggest thread of all time on Southampton FC devoted Football Forum is about their rivals Portsmouth FC. Doesn't make for good reading, does it..?
