I know there are plenty about but why not all travel up to Salisbury to watch ex Saint Nick Holmes and his little team of triers? They get around 1,500 per match and the stadium only holds 3500. You could all turn up in your Saints shirts and sing positive songs. I bet it gets on TV.

Cajon Squirrel is horrid.

Matey, you seem a bit deluded in your ability to change things, don't you? Imagine that you and me bought a house together and were major shareholders in it. Also imagine many others had a stake in that house too. Then one day you wanted me to not be an owner of that house anymore but you were not going to offer any money to make me go. What happens? Nothing. It really is as simple as that. On top of this, the person you want out currently has enough of the other people that co-own your house on his side to be allowed to run it. Doug Ellis was the man at Villa for as many years as he wanted to be, and he was never really well liked, but owning something it pretty much the final say on things.

I think it is more to do with the negative response it will have on the players by protesting, rather than the positive response you get from singing etc. Christ, they are having a bad time of it and perhaps singing for 90 minutes will not lift them to play like Brazil, but I suspect hearing nothing but "sack the board" and "Lowe out" might make them perform slightly worse, somehow.

To be honest I find it insulting that you consider anyone that didn't do an Emmeline Pankhurst to be a luvvie. Most people accepted the financial situation as dire and realised action needed to be taken. Coming on here with your hindsight logic and "I told you so" mutterings doesn't make you come across as a soothsayer, but more a prat. I don't think many expected us to run away with the league but most were willing to gamble, especially since Englands greatest manager since the war and all our brilliant older heads only narrowly avoided the drop on the last day of the season.

Nuff said.

14 games left : Did you realise that......

It can be factored in but it still makes the original quote utter tosh. -
What if you are deluded and you think it doesn't affect the players? I think we should cater for all here.

Brilliant. A very well thought out contribution and worthy of it's own thread due to it's unique content.

Why do we need a record anything like that to stay up? We need a record 4 points better than two teams above us. It's as simple as that. That means that in theory just 5 draws and the rest all lost could be enough, depending on other teams results. I am not saying that will be enough but to say we need to win 6 and draw 4 out of 14 games to go ahead of other teams that have also been struggling all season is just not accurate. -
IF we had appointed a decent British manager after Portvliet

Stanley, would you take Venables as a manager for us now on a scheme where he gets a wage plus shares based on success? -
I was basing my opinion on my beliefs. ergo, my opinion. To be fair though, if a section of fans is going to support this, then you would put your money on it being the Northam.

Probably a healthy mixture of both. Those that understand that Lowe and Wilde can't stop being in charge unless someone buys them out will more than likely jeer while those that think by getting Lowe and Wilde out somehow means we will be great overnight will cheer.

Came all over it? -
I understand the sh1t or bust reason for Davis coming up for the corner right at the end but I really do not understand why he didn't get back in goal sooner. Even the ref was in out 18 yard area before him!!

That annual occasion where the most unromantic species of being expect the other half to pour love on to them through the buying of useless presents, just so they can then gossip with their friends about how much the other half loves them.

Possibly why I said "shades" and not, "exactly like" then!!

I haven't lived in Southampton since I was a kid but find it really funny that there is a place called Mandella Way. Shades of Only Fools and Horses.

There is an obvious solution to all this and it is to let them grow hairy snatches, but if it's not your bag, simply turn them over and go up the wrong-un!

Big Bad Bob or Ronayne Marsh-Brown?

That point crossed my mind too as I wrote it but to be honest there is a subtle difference. Sometimes, even now, 25 years after first getting facial hair, I prefer my 2 or 3 day stubble look. I think it looks great although I have had different reactions from different people. However, curly hairs growing out of the side of my ears has never been a good look. An example. Whilst a woman might say to her friend, "Ooh, I really like a man with stubble" I have yet to hear one say, "Ooh, I really like a man with hairy ears."

On a serious note, I don't think we need to learn from Africa. They are behind us on that score as we used to do that too. We changed, and not for the better.

what should we expect from a manager..

My point is that we went on the quick fix route when we sacked him and have pretty much been on it ever since. -
My point is that when someone has a hang up about doing a bird with a shaven snatch and it is based on child sex, then it doesn't add up. Women spend their lives ridding their bodies of hair from all manner of places. Legs, armpits, some even the top lip. Now, in all these instances the hair would not be there when they were young girls. It is just a natural extension of a woman wanting to feel feminine and it does not equate to anything child related. I think it is more to do with being the opposite to a man.
