  1. Bit of a strange one this, we offered more money, but with the clause in his Brighton contract, it makes you wonder if we offered him a pay as you pay deal. Or maybe we required him to prove his fitness before we signed him? Never mind I'm sure that AP will come up with a good replacement.
  2. I don;t know where he finds the time to do all this press work. I thought he was busy doing a forensic analysis of their accounts so they can bring to book all the wrong doers.................Oh
  3. Your dead right there BTF my long departed Father was the New Forest Housing officer at the time then dear Margaret decided to go down this route. My Dad was a staunch Tory, but he fought tooth and nail against this decision, not because he didn't want people to own their own homes. it was down to the fact that they wouldn't re-invest it into new housing. The stress of having to cope with less & less homes to supply the demand finally lead to heart problems & having to retire early. I grew up in a staunch Tory household & voted Tory until the election following the Falklands war. At that time I started questioning them, when on the run up to the war the Tories were running the armed forces down. Then low & behold the Falklands happen. A friend of my mums eldest lad was in the navy & at the time was half way through stripping HMS Hermes down for scrap, funny he then had to help re-build her & she became the flag ship for the campaign. Poor decisions which she implemented & was forced to reverse! Then There's the miners strike, that will forever be a reason to be ashamed for me. I bought into the demonization of Arthur Scargill by the press at the time & never once questioned her use of the police as her personal junta. I truly truly regret not supporting Arthur & the miners. She was vindictive in her closing of several pits following the strike that would have been viable. There are several arguments on here & I guess she just polarizes most people, you either think she is the best thing since sliced bread & can see no wrong in her jack-boot style politics, or you feel nothing but contempt for her & I for one will join in with a lot of people in this country & raise a glass or two as she sheds her mortal coil.
  4. Away to Franchise FC & another comfortable 2-0 win over our whipping boys. Would be a nice start to the season.
  5. That is the nub of it for me as well Weston. And Griffins proposed CVA Keeps the club a going concern, by living within their means, & using said parachute payments to do what AA should be doing as the administrator. GETTING AS MUCH MONEY FOR ALL THE CREDITORS AS HE CAN. But he is trying to get as much as he can for his puppet master & a fat wedge to launch a promotion campaign next season. Announcing £10.000 a week wage bill is quite frankly obscene, when creditors are loosing 80p in the pound. Is it just me or is this farcical administration with AA starting to unravel. What ever he does now he seems to be between a rock & a hard place.
  6. Looks like HMRC have played a blinder here, given Chainrai & his puppet administrator enough rope to hang themselves. Then along comes a proper insolvency expert & blows there 20p in the pound out of the water. Make Poopey actually pay for their cheating with the parachute money. And for the first time in a long time live within their means whatever that brings them & however many relegations . This is exactly what Android should have been doing getting as much money as he could for the people he is SUPPOSED to be representing not his puppet master. 15-point deduction is almost definitely coming now, probably another 2 for multiple administrations, & when Storry teller, saggy chops & Milan are all sent down then another penalty on the cards for fraudulent actions by former directors aka Luton. Bring it on! You just have to laugh at the delusional few. Like the authorities & FL will just allow that to happen. What is that smell? Smells like something burning has someone left the toaster on to High.
  7. Sounds to be a good prospect & a decent signing, If we get Calderon in at Right back then he maybe considering using Harding as an emergency R/B when necessary (did a great job at Wembley) & Dickson as the back up L/B.
  8. Rip Mary I bet Ted was there to greet you with open arms. Thanks to the both of you for all your efforts for the club over the years.
  9. Cunning move from HMRC today, the last thing Android wants is to go back into court, as he has too many questions about the debt that can't be answered IMHO. at the moment HMRC hold sway over the CVA, with their claimed 38-million, so Android to dispute this he needs to go to court which he wont. And even if by some means he gets a CVA agreement though with some careful management of figures (cough cough). HMRC goes to court the day after wins (as looks increasingly likely) gets the full 48-million for the unsecured creditors, then why would you agree the 20p in the pound the day before. I've always felt that HMRC were just waiting & timing there responses for the cheats down the road, I feel this is just the first salvo. Today has proved that they are not going to accept 20p in the pound they want their full pound of flesh.
  10. Not to surprised at Theo being left out, not really done it this season has he? Can't believe we are taking that useless lump Heskey that miss against Japan was woeful. Glad Cole in he does offer something different, & appears to be getting back to full match fitness. Sky reporting that Carrick will be in the squad.
  11. Sums it all up nicely! unless the consortium come up with the price wanted by RBS then it looks grim for Palace. Will be a sad day for them & we all know how their feeling as we came so close last year. I for one hope they come through this today & deal can be done to save them.
  12. That too is my hope, I think that a CVA will probably be agreed, after HMRC try to stop it. They will then leave it as long as possible until the last second to appeal the CVA & hopefully they will then get their just deserts with a 15-point penalty as the apeal won't be heard in time (as Leeds scenario) for them to start with zero points. Also they should get another 2 points for multiple Administrations as Bournemouth, Luton etc. I still feel that there is more to come from all of this, I can't quite see how the fraud squad are not involved in this? I can still see this going back to court, with Android having to explain why since he took over after the SOA was entered by Portsmouth as a legal document, that they've found an extra 60 odd million of debt???
  13. Roll on next few weeks the S**t should really start to hit the fan now. Am I bad feeling so good at their demise? It feels so good to lord it over their suffering.
  14. Just back from the pub in Cheadle Hulme what a fantastic result. pub full of Man Ure supporters only 1 person celebrating when Boateng missed his pen & when Drogba scored. At last the Skate luck ran out! There is justice after all!!! Don't go away mad Poopey Just go away & Die in peace.
  15. All the best Chris thanks for all your effort & hard work for Saints while you've been here.
  16. Not really surprised by most of that list, looks like a clearing of the decks for 4/5 really good replacements. Only surprise as expressed above is we didn't keep at least 1 of Thomas, Semi or James as cover at right back, as it seems we have Calderon almost tied up. Hope that a deal to bring Antonio back can be sorted out. And I hope we can get Bart to re-sign for us. As for the rest thanks for your effort, and all the best for the future. Busy few weeks for AP & NC coming up.
  17. What an excellent response thanks NC glad we will have AP leading us forward next season. We've been suffering from all the old Chinese whispers that have made a lot of us paranoid. The press are getting nothing from this organisation, so are picking up half truths interpreting half heard conversations wrongly! Lets get this right since NC/ML took over when they have anything to say its because a deal is done, or they have an announcement to make about the club. He has had his fingers burned trying to deal in a professional manor with the Echo, & is IMHO has no trust in the media, so will not discuss behind the scene's mater's with any media outlet. Time to put our trust firmly behind the club & its bosses & get a siege mentality were Saints & everyone else can F**k off especially the Daily Fail C**TS.
  18. I think the boot boy has done a magnificent job, he has done a far better job in 2-years for Leicester than Burley did for us. He took a team just relegated to the 3rd tier got automatic promotion 1st year, then has done a fantastic job getting to within a PROPERLY taken penalty of the play-off final. That said good luck to Dave Jones in the final, if anyone deserves another crack at the prem then he does.
  19. Overall it looks good but like many on here the red blob with 125 on it doesn't quite look right. May well look better when on shirts etc.
  20. Congratulation to Northam Girls. More than happy with 12 place, roll on next season.
  21. After the disaster of the last close season, the way we went into the season we've done exactly what I expected. we started slow as AP did a quick fix rebuild, with quite a few loans & a few good buys to see us through to Jan. He then put in place what he hopes will be the back-bone of the team we all hope will take us back up next season. We've finished the season strongly & are looking strong in this league for next season. So absolutely stick with him now, it would be crazy IMHO to change the manager again. I really hope that all these crazy rumours yesterday & today are just Bulls**t! I fully expect us to be challenging strongly for Automatic promotion next season, & December is a more realistic time to judge AP & the progress he's made. We need some stability as a club for once.
  22. 2-1 FT disapointing performance today sounded like they were already on the beach most of them.
