  1. It might help if you stated the dimensions of the room.
  2. It will be interesting to see if the great unwashed still buy this sh!tty rag in the coming weeks. I suspect that TDD is right when he says that the typical NOTW "reader" will still have an unwavering desire to satisfy their lust for celebrity gossip, T&A and general horse**** paraded as news.
  3. I like Nugent and would be happy if we signed him.
  4. I got my LeMond from http://www.pedalon.co.uk and they were pretty good, especially with all the extras i needed.
  5. Got into it in a very casual way a few years ago, mainly due to friends signing me up for charity rides. Gave up for a few years as the youngest came along, but a mate has just taken it up and i've started trying to get some miles back in the legs! Did the usual stints, London to Brighton, London to Paris, Test Valley Tour. All good stuff, but I never wanted to be a club cyclist, probably because i was nowhere near good enough!
  6. Glad to see you've adopted that into your every post.
  7. You said that (workers) in the private sector do not have protection from the unions. That is crap, as you have acknowledged.
  8. Errr, how do you work that one out? I assume that you mean workers in the private sector? If so, then Unison members alone come from most areas of the private sector? If you are going to make sweeping statements like that, at least check they are not bull**** before you do.
  9. Mine were emptied on friday last week. and they took the recycling too. Good lads. Spoke to them and they were quite suprised that our road hadn't had a visit from the cart for over 5 weeks. Still, the wheelie bin pens like a pompey tarts fanoir the morning after giving it 6 nowt on the dancefloor, so it's not all good.
  10. https://members.architecture.com/directory/default.asp?dir=1 - is a RIBA list of members, you should find some useful contact info there. Most i know are struggling at present and workloads are a bit hit and miss. Are you looking more for space planning, concept/actual refurb works, that sort of thing? A lot of big companies have their own in house teams to do that, so you could contact them direct. Failing that, i guess there are a good few interior design companies out there. Maybe you could target those that deal with private client domestic refurbs as that seems to be part of the market that is holding up reasonably well at the moment.
  11. Good to see a top class bowling performance from Afridi last night. You feel with him and Tahir in the line up, we could strangle opposition run rate in the middle of their innings. Cracking stuff.
  12. If 4 masked blokes break into your house, you have to assume your life is in jeopardy. On the face of it, it seems pefectly reasonable to protect yourself against this situation and if that means attacking them before they get to you, then i cannot see the problem. I think i'd ****e my ring away if i was suddenly confronted by 4 geezers in masks, so fair play to him for having a go.
  13. If it was done today, then I'd limit it to a) those who voted in the last general election and b) those who are either current taxpayers or who have worked for more than 50% of their working life. That way the feckless, apathetic and workshy will not be included.
  14. Ey up tho' chekky scamp.
  15. It was chilly at the Rose Bowl on Friday, if that helps.
  16. There are some real pansies on this forum. Deppo's banned. Better judgement says he shouldn't be, but hey ho, that's life. However, all this Deppo love-in and Hypo-hating and Baj-hating, whilst predictable, is so ****ing boring. Maybe the mouthpiece ****s on this thread who reckon they could do a better job as an admin should stop poncing about and actually do it.
  17. I feel the ideological pain caused by this struggle
  18. Your rather flippant initial comment suggested that UK kids living in poverty can still expect holidays at least once a year. You also came up with the rather crass inference that by comparison UK poverty is somehow less offensive than in other places around the world. Glad to see you can now admit to it being terrible, irrespective of where it is. My original point was that i'd rather see more money of this sort going towards helping kids in the UK and getting them out of poverty.
  19. Well that's good news that child poverty in the UK is not a problem anymore. I think it is you who doesn't have a clue what poverty is.
  20. Spot on. Couldn't agree more.
  21. Meanwhile, in other news 1.6m children in the UK still live in poverty. Divert the majority of the money to helping out these kids, imho of course.
  22. Give it to the dusties down at the depot so they can start collecting the facking bins again.
  23. No, but he has only himself to blame if he gets hassled by cock hungry 50+ women who are gagging for a bit before the old growler dries up.
  24. Ryan Giggs ****ged Deppo's cat.
  25. This internet forum thing is f**king serious f**king business.
