  1. It will be full Millie Tant types who profess to hate being the object of male attention but get all shirty when the fellas hanging off the scaffolding barely give them a second glance.
  2. But isn't UK politics so centrist these days as to make a fundemental shift to the left nigh on impossible? There is no real ideological difference between the main parties these days, mostly political posturing by the parties which tries to just appeal to the biggest number of voters they can. More often they come up with the same sort of policies and slide along the left-right scale depending on the party line. Blunkett was on of the most right wing Home Sec's during his tenure and that's from a dyed in the wool socialist. Multinational business has more influence in politics as each day passes and as image replaces (or has replaced??!) political value, the LD's may well see themselves in the wilderness again once the coalition has gone.
  3. Which with the LD's no more popular than the sh!te on the bottom of my shoe atm, any election within the next 18 months would see those two on the other side of the house. cutting off their nose to spite their face perhaps?
  4. I wondered what had happened to Alan B'Stard.
  5. Restaurant Santa Caterina in Amalfi. Fabulous views from the terrace, superb service and exquisite food. Simply stunning.

There is a great beach between Boswinger and St Michael Caerhays. Quite quiet and very nice.
  7. Pop a cap in the mo'fo's ass.
  8. Stereotypical sh1tbag family that crop up all to often in modern society, causing misery and frightening decent folk. But what can you do about them? I know what i'd do, but i fear my views would be seen as a teensy bit, ever-so-slightly draconian
  9. Even with interest? A pesky little amount that most people seem to omit from their thinking when calculating this sort of thing. If it is, then good on you. IMHO buying on credit cards can be really useful if you square the balance off within a max of 2 months. But too of something can be a bad thing. I'm sure someone said that once?
  10. Which is great, but how many people really give a toss about changing their lifestyle to influence what happens to global weather patterns? There is a lot of lip service and good intentions, but very few take it seriously enough to do something about it and from those that i know who are serious are generally doom mongers who think that armageddon is just around the corner (not suggesting you are one of them Minty ) which imho is as stupid as denying that man does not have any influence on the earths climate.
  11. Is Bin Larden the fat cousin of Osama?
  12. Atticus is spoiling for a fight, the violent bastard.
  13. Anyone at the game today rate Bolaise for the Pilgrims as a candidate? Also, what about Ben Haim from the blue few? Better than Jaidi?
  14. He's 33, big wage, big ego, never really had any pace and hasn't scored a goal for ages. Not really a lot going for him imho. Love what he did for Saints earlier in his career, but i don't think players should ever really "go back" unless they have so much kudos they can carry it off (e.g. Dalglish).
  15. When he was appointed i thought we had missed the chance for promotion this season. I certainly didn't think he'd turn it around so quickly and was not that taken with his appointment, tbf. Glad i was so wrong. Superb effort from NA and all the staff - a cracking job, brilliantly done.
  16. Who do you think will play Osama? My money would be on Art Malik. I reckon he'd out-Osama anyone as he's a very fine actor.
  17. Atmosphere, i love a military town with a happy atmosphere.
  18. From the coverage i saw, there were no tears. Lot's of smiling faces from seemingly decent, fun loving people who wanted a good time. Better than having to watch or listen to gnarled up, cynical, bitter old ****s with nothing decent to say but wanting to spout vitriolic resentment about those who were enjoying themselves. But then i made the mistake of coming on here..........
  19. Hang on. Are you of the opinion that no matter how many generations of family live in this country, then they are not able to class themselves as British? Does this apply to say, families from the indian sub continent who have moved here? Using that logic, you'd be more right wing that Dune and open to all sorts of accusations of racism. Surely someone as enlightened as you would view the current royal family as British, despite their ancestory.
  20. Maybe not to you, but judging from the crowds, it does to others.
  21. That comment could be used at 90% of football fans. I don't know Jose Fonte from adam, but i wanted to **** him after the winner at Brighton last saturday.
  22. Oooo vicious (poor old Sergei - don't think he deserves this sort of nastiness from so many eager-to-say-they-can-enjoy-life-without-a-royal-wedding types). So presumably you don't experience any form of emotion through film, tv, music or theatre then?
  23. Don't be silly. There is bound to be a highlights show on tv somewhere. And the DVD / Bluray won't be far behind. So keep out the bunting, make some more cakes and most important, keep smiling.
  24. From what i've read of Pilger, he doesn't really theorise on experiments of politcial structure. From what i've read, he concentrates on human suffering and the injustice of it all, and good reading it is too, btw.
  25. Well you could eric, if you didn't make assumptions on what my views are. See, taking the polar opposite of one view is not necessarily a wise choice, but don't let that stop you jumping to conclusions.
